Does the computer ask you to input your AP number or do you just check in the same way as you would with a non AP room?
They don't just "take your word for it" when booking an AP room over the phone. You are in their computer system by name and address and they find the pass information that way.
This is incorrect. You do not need a current AP to book a room at an AP rate. You will need an activated AP at check in and you also need an activated AP to access the AP web site. They don't just "take your word for it" when booking an AP room over the phone. That can be false. I have booked over the phone many times with the AP discount and NOT had it checked at checkin. Also when booking online you could use someone elses AP to book and if they dont check your pass at checkin it will go unnoticed. This is incorrect. That is simply the fault of the CM checking you in. They are supposed to check for a current AP at check in. With more that 60 Disney resorts stays, the majority of which were at AP rates booked online, I have only not been asked to see my AP once. That can be false.
