Online check-in with AP reservations?

To book a room online with an AP discount you must login using your AP number. If you book over the phone they take your word and are supposed to check it at check-in, however I have never had mine checked once. WHen you check-in online it only asks for any room preferences and a credit card number for your KTYW card.

I have an AP discount room starting next week thursday. I just didn't know if I needed to provide my AP number when I check in online. Thanks for the info.

They don't just "take your word for it" when booking an AP room over the phone. You are in their computer system by name and address and they find the pass information that way.

Not true. I've booked under the AP discount for rooms when I haven't had an AP at the time.

This is incorrect. You do not need a current AP to book a room at an AP rate. You will need an activated AP at check in and you also need an activated AP to access the AP web site.

That can be false. I have booked over the phone many times with the AP discount and NOT had it checked at checkin. Also when booking online you could use someone elses AP to book and if they dont check your pass at checkin it will go unnoticed.

Sorry I wasn't clear, I booked on Sunday for a room on May 8th. I asked for a AP discount. I asked if he needed my pass info and he said, "nope it is right here with your information".

That is what I was trying to explain, if you have one they don't just take your word for it...they can see it in the computer with your family's information. That is probably why they don't have to verify it upon check in, though it wouldn't be a big deal if you have one since you need it to get in the parks anyways.

That is simply the fault of the CM checking you in. They are supposed to check for a current AP at check in. With more that 60 Disney resorts stays, the majority of which were at AP rates booked online, I have only not been asked to see my AP once.
