I live in RI and on my first visit to a nearby shopping mall in Wrentham, MA, I walked into the food court and it's pretty much like looking at the American Adventure's restaurant. It was so weird, it looked and smelled the same way (well in a manner of speaking). So in a sense, yeah it's happened to me. I just stood there for a minute thinking about Disney... course that's what I do anyway so it wasn't odd to be thinking about Disney...

I can't remember any particularly outstanding Disney-moments, but I remember having a Universal moment. One time, when our neighbor hit the gas line with a pick-axe and half the fire department came (Seriously, like 5 trucks came), the smell of gas in the air reminded me of the good ole days of Kongfrontation.

One of the wooden coasters at the park I currently work in has a bit of a Thunder Mountain smell (ironically enough, the coaster at my park is called Thunder Run...kinda similar name). I think it's maybe the grease they use on the track and the wheels of the cars to keep things running smoothly. But, everytime I'm around that ride (which isn't too often, so it catches me off guard) I think of thunder mountain and just want to stand there and smell it.

I also smelled something on campus today that reminded me of some of the backstage smells in the tunnels. :hurl:

This happens to me all the time. I can't always pinpoint the smell but sometimes I'll be walking along and suddenly I will smell something that will take me back to Disney. Unseasonally warm and humid days in Spring always take me back (as I live in a much colder, dryer climate) particularily when combined with certain restaurent smells that can be found in certain parts of WDW. I just love when those unexpected Disney smells creep up on me.

When I was doing some IT work at an office in Henley, one of the air conditioning units was blasting out a smell that took me right back to Disney.

All the time! I quite often get specific Disney smells, such as mainstreet ice cream parlour, but mostly if its humid here, I just get the smell and feel of Florida! Today in my thermodynamics lecture I got the smell of an airport! Took me right back to thinking of my holidays!

When the weather is nice I go for a walk on my lunch. When I come to a fountain outside the building the smell reminds me of Disney's fountains. And how much I enjoy that smell.

This same thing has happened to me many times with many different smalls from all around WDW.

The most common one is the smell from the Yatch Club as you walk by Yatchsman's Steakhouse - I'm assuming it's from the brick ovens.

Anyway - every time I smell it I'm immediately taken back to that walkway... I can see the entrance to Yatchsmans, that beautiful shinny hardwood floor, out the windows to Storm Along Bay - ah I wish I was there right now....

Yeah....I KNOW that smell (at POTC)....every once in a great while if I stand in front of an air conditioning vent, I can smell that smell (say...wasn't that a song??)...but the smell I STILL love the BEST is the smell that imminates from the candy shoppe on Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom!!! Man....I can just TASTE the BIG Rice Krispies Treats and Peanut Butter Fudge NOW!!!!! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :slurp: :slurp:

People that stop in the middle of the hall make me mad, especially if they're gabbing away with someone and they don't step to the side and just stand there blocking traffic . You're lucky you don't go to my school ;) :p
