One of the greatst things about Walt in my opinion was NOT neccerally what he created, but how he presented them. he would present his tv shows, his movies, his characters, and theme park additions not as a production, not as a way to make money, but as a creation of his own that he wants to share with everyone. While others seemed in it mainly for the money, you get the feeling that he'd give you all this for free if he could which is more than I can say about other people working in Disney today. Especcially Eisner. I watched a special on WDW on the Travel Channel and had noticed something. When Walt introduced a new idea for his theme park, he seemed enthusiastic about it as if he was giving everyone a special gift. When Eisner annouced it, his main thought seemed to me to be simply "making money." He had some good ideas, but no heart around them. Example,
I had the feeling that when Eisner wanted resorts and hotels put in WDW, his thoughts were like "Let's do this, we'll make money from it."
If Walt were to think of it, it would've been more like "let's do this. They'll love it."
Does anyone agree with me?
