One day park hopper worth it?

Hey all! I have one day to visit Disney, and was wondering if it would be worth it to do a park hopper. I’ve done Disneyland park multiple times before, including having already visited the Star Wars part; what I haven’t seen is the Avengers Campus at California Adventures, which I’m really interested in. Basically, I’m looking to hit the favorites in Disneyland and check out Avengers.

Do you think this is doable for a Disney veteran?

Since I would have to choose a starting park, which would you recommend starting with? Note- Cali. Adventure will be closing at 6pm that day for the Halloween Party.

Thank you!!

If Avenger's Campus is something that interests you, there's no reason you can't check it out in a couple of hours, length of the attraction queues depending. And if Lightening Lanes are in your budget, the queues won't be a problem. You'd also have time for a snack, a souvenir and some of the character interactions.

You'd then have the rest of day at Disneyland and you'd know if Avenger's Campus is something that would compel you to visit again.

Good point! Is there a difference between Genie+ and Lightning Lane? I'm still getting used to the new terminology.

My kids and I are pretty big Avengers fans and the campus is pretty disappointing. Unless you want to meet characters, the best thing about the land is the ride that was already there... Guardians.
And I've ridden guardians; aka it's not an absolute must for a one day trip. Thanks!

There is VERY little to actually do at Avengers campus.
Thanks. I think i'm going to go with the general consensus, focus on Disneyland Park for this trip, and save DCA for when I can spend more time there. From what you all have said, Avengers Campus is not worth the hassle it would likely be this go 'round.

As usual, I'll be the voice of dissent and say you should absolutely parkhop for it - if you're a Marvel fan and a character fan and a show fan and a Spidey fan, Campus is a GREAT place to visit!

Web Slingers is a fun for all ages C-D Ticket attraction - but expect your arms to be tired at the end from waving them around a lot. lol

The stunt show, Dora Milaje training show, Doctor Strange show, Spidey stuntronic show and of course the Guardians Awesome Dance Off are all enjoyable - but the real fun there is encountering the characters who stroll around and interact with guests!

Generally at least once per day you'll find a group of anywhere from 2-5 characters teaming up to play games... I mean have "training sessions"... with the guests. I've seen them do everything from Marvel themed "Red Light Green Light" to "Simon Says" to Avengers Charades to crossing Campus together on a "spy mission". Sometimes with just the kids but usually all guests can participate and honestly it's just so much fun to watch!

You can see a lot of examples of these experiences on my YouTube channel as I tend to spend most of my park time on Campus visiting with the usually 15-18 characters out there daily. :)

But I will warn you there is no shade on Campus, so wear a hat and hydrate. lol

I think DCA is worth it, but not if you only have the one day. 💖

If you are going during a day in which Disneyland closes at midnight, I suggest to hit up both parks and start off at DCA. The only problem with starting off at DCA is there could be a chance you got to ride what you wanted to ride there and be bored for a couple of hours until you can jump over to Disneyland. You can knock out at least 5 to 6 E Ticket rides at Disneyland after 10 p.m. in case it’s busier during the day.
