We might decide to do Epcot Friday instead of a 4th Universal day. Is it worth it for the food/wine festival? We are staying at Universal property as we speak.

Yes… if you enjoy trying different food and drink selections. The kiosks have a great selection of unique dishes to try. The cost can add up if you are going to eat and drink your way around. We’ve had many great dishes that we’ve enjoyed and others not so much. Before going you can check out the menu items for each area and get reviews from others and decide which options you want to try. The more popular items of course have the longer lines but you do get served fairly quickly.
It is a popular festival so prepare yourselves to be met with lots of guests wanting to partake of the good treats and atmosphere.

Food and Wine makes it worth it. Take your time going around the world to eat/drink and take in the sites!

"Worth it" is of course a very relative term. IMO, possibly not, but depends on how much you enjoy being able to taste so many diff dishes in "one place" (well during a long walk).

It would be better if they were doing the various seminars, etc. Then you get to actually learn some, not just taste. But as far as I know none of that is happening, either due to Covid or using Covid as an excuse to drop them permanently I'm not sure.

Just keep in mind you are paying a lot just to get in and then spend a lot for each taste of various foods. That being said, I compare the quality and quantity fairly equal to what you'd pay for at a nice restaurant, so minus the large entry fee, the food prices are ok. If you are also paying to do some rides and see the end show fireworks, you might consider it worth it.

Sure, if you dont enjoy the food & drink thats being offered. The park is nowhere where it should be but the OP's enquiry was related to the F&W festival. Thats an entirely different thing than asking is EP worth it. If someone wants to partake and enjoys as a foodie, it can very well be not butt.
Future World is so butt right now that the F&W crowds around the Showcase are even worse than usual.

Was down for F&W once and the wife and I loved it. If that's your target, totally worth it. Tequila flights in Mexico are a little pricey.

Speaking of tequila flights... wife and I got a flight and had that 4th shot of tomato stuff. Sucked that down first. "Hey that was good, what was that one?" God bless that bartender for only cracking a smile and not outright laughing in our faces and kicking us out. "That's a tomato chaser." Until then, I'd never had tequila with sangrita... actually I'd never even heard of it. Wife and I both chuckled, hung our heads in shame, and mumbled "Rookie."

In my opinion no its not worth it if you only had 1 day to do at Disney Epcot would be the last one I would suggest to someone. I am a very big foodie, really good cook and really like to enjoy all different things and I think the food and wine they do in Disney world and California is way over rated you would be better off going to one of Disneys really good restaurants. just my 2 cents.
