One and a half days all to myself!!

Just got back from a day and a half in the world and my first SOLO trip!

A little back story...my Dad has a race car (I post a pic later for those of you interested) so my family had planned for a long time to travel to Tampa to race at East Bay Raceway for their Winternationals race, 3 nights of racing. A few weeks before that I realized, I could go a day early and see New Fantasyland!
So the plan was in motion. After a little coaxing of my dad, I booked a room at All Star Movies and five days later I was there! And so it begins...

Day 1: Travel day
Up at 6:45 and out the door by 7:15 I was on the road for a long drive by myself! 10 hours is by far the longest I have driven alone, but it wasn't bad. All was good until I was practically there and discovered I had the wrong address and let's just say I was NOT on Disney property. Called my Dad and he calmed me down and only 45 min AFTER I had planned on arriving I was there!! HALLELUJAH!!

I was on the second floor in the Mighty Ducks building and had a king size bed! After setting down my things I headed to Downtown Disney, cause I was huuungry. First stop, Earl of Sandwich and the oh so delicious All American!

After I filled my belly I walked around and looked at the shops, luckily finding Goofy's Candy Company and made my first Mickey Rice Krispie treat! Rice Krispy, milk chocolate, m&m's and a white chocolate drizzle!

Finished product! And holy cow it was good!

Day 1: Continued...
There was a dance party going on at the stage in Downtown Disney and I fully enjoyed it! I had a rough end of my trip down there and was so happy to move around a little and have fun! The host was wonderful!

After partying hard :p I went "home" and walked around the resort to take some pics since I knew I wouldn't be there in the daylight at all! I am in a Toy Story "stage" so I couldn't wait to get to the Toy Story area.

I then went back to my room and wrote in my notebook (which is super cute by the way :))

I tucked myself in and got some sleep before my big day tomorrow. 3 parks in less than 12 hours!

Day 2: Three parks, one day...alone

Welcome! Day 2 I woke up early and was ready to go! Since my room was at the edge of AS Movies I was much closer to the Music bus stop, so I headed over there and score, the Hollywood Studios bus was just pulling up! So, by 8:25 I was in line at the gate! Double score, they let us in 20 min early!
I went straight to Toy Story Midway Mania, got a fastpass and went straight to the standby line where I basically walked on. It was an ok run, but it was early in the morning!;)

Next up, the Muppets! I love that little show!
P1140622.jpg

Empty streets of America!

P1140619.jpg

Next up, the best ride in the whole entire world! TOWER OF TERROR!!
P1140626.jpg

On the way up, I saw my first Brazilian tour group, and then swiftly took off to be IN FRONT of them, last thing I wanted was to be behind them. The wait was posted at 20 min. but it was really 20 min from start of line to end of ride, so not bad. And then I went again! I met a very nice Canadian family who was kind enough to include me in their group to ride together!

Another wonderful ride!

My last stop in HS was Toy Story to use my fastpass. The line was much longer now so I'm very glad I had a fastpass. And my score was better now :) And best in the car!
P1140631.jpg

Next stop, Epcot via the Friendship boat! I was pretty excited about this boat ride because I had never seen the Boardwalk resort area.

love this... I might go crazy talking to strangers... but I am willing to try it! :)

I get it from my Mom. She always has and always will talk to anyone and everyone. We like to joke around and if there are kids in the group its an instant conversation starter. You can meet some great people!

And going solo was FANTASTIC! I couldn't do it for too long, but I could of had another day or so.

Epcot!

As luck would have it, as I entered through the International Gateway (which was awesome) Rapunzel was just coming out for her M&G!! If you read my September TR then you know that the Rapunzel I met then was just awful, but I could already tell this one was great!! She wondered if I had seen Pascal cause they were playing hide and seek. She also complimented my bag, saying it was the colors of her kingdom!
P1140660.jpg

Hooray! I was so happy to stumble upon her! I really enjoy the characters and I wasn't sure I'd have time to seek them out so this was just perfect!

Now on to Test Track! I was alone so I went through the single rider line. There was a family who did not speak English very well who were told that they would be separated if they got in that line, they went through the line anyway and then acted like they didn't know it was single rider when they got to the front. I believe they were escorted out and told to get back in line, and kind of made a scene.

Ok, the ride. I liked it, I thought the themeing was great! Too bad the ride wasn't really different. It looked good and I didn't dislike it, it just could have been more. I also feel I missed alot going through the single rider line, I didn't even get to design a car. I feel I missed alot without the stand by line.

Next up, I visited Mexico! Its my favorite pavilion! So I went for a little boat ride with Donald and got a phone call while on the ride .

I had to put out a fire at home...not what I wanted to do on my one (and a half) short day in my favorite place and I've got to spend time doing this! I wanted to cry! So I made a few phone calls, hoping that would help the situation and hopped on Spaceship Earth, with my phone deep in my bag. I didn't want to think about it!

On a lighter note, Epcot was much less crowded than HS and I did not see any Brazilians!:D

The plan was to ride the monorail to MK but it was down :(
So it was going to take a little longer to get there. Bus to the TTC then monorail to MK. I just BARELY made it to my lunch ressie at The Plaza.

Magic Kingdom!

So, 1:20 I get off the monorail, ressie at 1:25 and I was only kinda sure of where the restaurant was so I asked and guess what...I asked 2 CMs and neither had even heard of the restaurant. Really? One of them was dressed very nice, not in a costume and she had no idea! Come on people! Well, I had an idea so I went that way and I was right, and a couple minutes late. Oh well.
P1140678.jpg

Checked in, got a buzzer and waited about 15 minutes is the wonderful Florida sunshine! Its has been so cold and yucky at home so this sun was amazing!
P1140681.jpg

I had the Plaza club with homemade chips. The sandwich was good! I enjoy a good club but the chips were just too hard. Almost too hard to eat! I'm glad I tried it and my emotions were so high that day it was good to have this ressie and make my self sit down and rest for a minute.
P1140684.jpg

I do want to compliment a great CM who was very, very patient with a party of 8! who did not speak English and did not have the right dining plan for this restaurant. She was wonderful in a situation that is easy to get frustrated in. I wish I got her name.

It was time for New Fantasyland!!! Really the ENTIRE reason I took this trip! I wasn't sure what I would get to do today but I HAD to see it!
As I walked over there I spotted this:
P1140689.jpg

It's beautiful!! Like a painting! I can't wait till this area is open! And yes, I know, its only bathrooms. :D
Ok, Fantasyland.

Beast's castle. I looks good from far away but just kind of stupid up close. Why so darn small?

This stuff was pretty darn good! I have a sweet tooth so the sweet didn't bother me at all. My only complaint was that I got the juice faster than the ice...leaving me with just ice.

I just got back from a solo trip also! Had a marvelous time and everything was just so great: weather, low crowds, timing, lots of fun.

I stayed at the Dolphin using Starwood points. Watched the Epcot fireworks on Friday night from a bridge in Boardwalk area. Highly recommend you stay at one of the Epcot resorts someday.

Sounds like fun. I always have the same thing happen when I drink Red's Apple Freeze at DCA, drink all the juice and I'm left with ice

I think I'm a little jealous here. Madhatter might stroke out if he reads this but how different of an experience I could have without the hubby and kids.....man...I could do whatever I wanted. :) Waiting for more of your report. Let me live through you!!

Someday an Epcot resort will happen! I don't know when but it WILL happen!
