Once There Was A Tiny Ant...The Story of the Tree of Life
Many different legends have been - and will be - told about the Tree Of Life. This is the one that the bugs like to tell:
Once upon a time, no trees grew on the island which is now Discovery Island. There were no shrubs, no flowers, nothing. Then, one day, a tiny ant planted a seed and made a wish. He asked for a tree to grow, large enough to provide shelter for all the animals. That wish came true. A tree did grow, and it kept growing until there was room beneath its branches for all the animals, from ants to zebras.
Magically, the images of all the animals who took shelter there appeared on the trunk, roots, and branches of the Tree Of Life. More than 300 different animal images have appeared on the tree over the ages.
