I had a Test Track car all to myself once. The CM at seatbelt check looked at me and said, how did that happen? I just shrugged my shoulders. Felt like a total loser.
I've lucked out on riding alone on late night evening EMH's when the parks were emptied out. Its fun but creepy looking around and you are the only one riding.
I know this is just a joke and it is cute. As a side note, I would hate to do a ride by myself. I hate WDW when it is quiet. I like a reasonable crowd, it adds life and vibrancy to the experience. So that would be a bummer for me as well. Not one that I would concern myself with other then in the moment, but, it definitely would be not quite as much fun.
I waited at the entrance of the queue until right up to closing time, then when I got to the loading section I simply asked a cast member if I could have a flume to myself. They were awesome and were happy to help.
You guys are right. It's weird riding alone. But for the photo I think it was worth it..
