I'm thinking of booking one night at the Hard Rock for my February trip as I'm thinking of seeing a concert there one night. If I want to get the extra theme park benefits (early admission to Harry Potter, express pass, etc.) do I get those as soon as I check in? For example, if I go check into the hotel at around 7:30 - 8am, will I get to immediately head to IoA to get into Harry Potter? Or would that only be valid on my check-out day?
I'm assuming it has to do with showing a room key, but I just want to be sure before I spend that much on one night in a hotel.

I'm not 100% sure about Universal (I will check), but at Disney Resorts you receive all benefits from the moment you check in until midnight of your checkout day.

In other words, if you check in Saturday morning at 7am, you would receive Disney Resort benefits from that moment until 11:59pm Sunday night.

I can't see Universal being any different.

From the moment your room key is valid to the moment it isn't you can use all of it's associated perks like Unlimited Express & Early Admission to IoA.

Uni properties are a 2 night minimum. Unless its just on the weekends. But every time i try to book one night thats what i am told. No worries for me, hard rock is beautiful!

Really? Tammy from Kingdom konsultants got me a one night package for next month. Maybe try booking with a travel agent?

Just to clarify for the OP, the Hard Rock Hotel and Hard Rock Live concert venue are not physically connected as part of the same facility. But they are within reasonable walking distance of each other ...just pray that it doesn't rain :)

I just went to the Universal website and had no problem selecting a full-price room for one night. Perhaps you were searching for a specific date or discount?

PH discount....and I totally don't mind being "forced" to stay longer:lol:.

Is the OP talking about a concert at Hard Rock Live or a Velvet Session?
