On-line check in / room preferences?

We are arriving at CSR on 23 July - travelling from England via Virgin Holidays. Does anyone know whether / how we will be able to access the on-line check-in system? If the on-line check-in system is not available to UK Virgin Holidays customers does the old system of sending a fax to the hotel with room preferences still work? I have seen some conflicting information about that on various boards. On previous trips we have had 100% success rate with faxed room preferences. Thanks! :animwink:

Don't rely on the online check in for room requests. When I did the online check in for our trip on May 10 there was a spot available to put in a request, but when I tried to type in it nothing happened, no matter what I did I could not get it to work. DH called the resort to see about an upgrade to surprise me and mentioned the issue we had and the only response he received was "Yeah, we've been hearing that a lot".

I had no problem requesting a king-size bed on the online check-in last week...must've been fixed.

Maybe Disney does not want requests to be issues through the system just yet.
