Omni Orlando Hotel, Championsgate?

Have you ever stayed at this hotel?
Views?
How far from WDW and Universal?

thinking of staying here for a few days in 2007 - so any information much appreciated

If you mean the Rosen Plaza (which used to be the Omni Rosen) I haven't stayed there, but friends of mine have (and I think they are quite fussy!) and they go back there every time they go to Florida, so it must be pretty good.

No I dont think this is the hotel.
Omni Orlando is a newish 5* hotel on a golf course on the outskirts of Orlando in a place called Championsgate! I believe

It's about 15 miles from WDW, and 25 from Universal Orlando. It's a great hotel... but it's far away from everything.

I was just there today. Excellent hotel. It is quite far away from the attractions.. but a beautiful oasis. If you don't mind the extra drive it is a great place to stay!

Hi, yes, just a reminder that this hotel is huge but sits in the middle of nowhere next to Championsgate Golf Course...There is a C Store and Pharmacy, Subway, Chinese takeout and a McDonalds, I think. The drive to Parks is long but can be done all on I-4 just outside Champions Gate. I would guess it is about 10 minutes to the Disney Exit on I-4 and then 10 minutes from the exits to the parking lots...not bad. You skip all the craziness on 192.
