Pre-Trip OMG we are finally going back!

Hello all! Im a self proclaimed Disney fanatic well, not just self proclaimed, my family. co workers and friends all say Im Disney Obsessed and Im ok with that!

We have stayed 25+ times since I was 4 and Ill never get enough, we use to come atleast twice a year but havent been able to come back in a few years due to health issues and things but YAY we have a countdown now...

SO far we have stayed at All Star Movies 2x (2003,2005) POR 2x (2005,2012), CBR(2009) BC CL (2012) CR (2011) All Star Music 2x (2009,2012) Pop 2x (2006,2014) AKL (2011) Poly CL 3x (2010,2011,2013) GF CL (2012) plus countless stays in DIsney SPrings and other offsite hotels and time shares when I was much younger.

We normally arrive a day or two early and stay at a Disney SPrings resort or close to DIsney SPrings, spend a day at Disney Springs to start our DIsney trip off slow, nothing like getting in the DIsney mood like World of Disney at Disney Springs.. We normally eat dinner at Trex but this trip we will be starting things out different!

Here is hubby Tommy and I in 2010

So I had been hearing for awhile about renting DVC points but for years I was getting amazing UOC from Disney and so we were booking our favorite resorts with 40% off Room Only codes so I didnt think it was worth it, well havent gotten one of those in years so I looked into rentals and wow I was thrilled with the prices! I was able to secure Villas at GF and Poly Villas our two favorite resorts! We just adore the monorail resorts I mean you really cannot find better views in all of WDW, the locations are amazing, the monorail transportation is so convenient and the rooms are beautiful! So Now I needed to book a hotel for outside of WDW for our Disney Springs day... First I booked Drury Inn bc I could get a govt rate, and they have free parking and free meals, then I ended up getting an SPG Amex card so I booked a room at the Dolphin for two nights before but then I was reading about incredible Dolpin rates on hotwire... SO I pulled the trigger and thankfully got 2 nights for less than 1 night of what I would have paid through the spg site! So Im so super excited but Good Lord I was scared when I clicked submit and waited to see if I had really got the Dolphin or not! Im so thrilled as Ive always wanted to stay here but we are such big fans of the DDP we never did.

So we will leave after work on Sept 7 and drive from SC to Orlando to check into the Dolphin
1525017071101.png

Then on Sept 9 through 12th we will be at VGF

1525017168888.png

Then 12-16th at PVB

1525017286810.png

Now with everything booked it was time to do one of my most favorite things in the world besides GOING TO WDW.. PLANNING IT ALL OUT!

So I am a mother of 2 kids they are grown my son is 24 and my daughter is 21 they both adore Disney but try to act like they dont. They both have recently been talking about how much they miss it, my son is dating someone he has been with for a couple of years who has a 4 yr old son who is just as cute as a button! Neither he or his momma have ever been to WDW and my son wanted to show them Disney.

So I booked them a Cars Suite at AOA, my daughter didnt want to be left out, so after talking to my son and his GF I added my daughter to the reservation at AOA! Im so excited I wasnt sure if I would ever get to go back to WDW with my kids! Things really seem to be falling into place! My sons GF is super excited to be going and has chosen to wait and tell her little boy when its closer to the trip.

Well last month my mother passed away, God Rest her soul, I miss her so very much. My mother in law, aunt in law, husband. daughter, son, his GF and my best friend were all at lunch after the service and everyone at the table was giving my son a hard time about needing to propose to his GF. When his GF got up and went to the bathroom later he announced to us that he had planned on proposing during the Disney trip!!! I cannot be happier, and l'LL be an instant NANA!!!

So of course I have been buying things for everyone to surprise them.. Got the little boy Rylan a rolling mickey mouse suitcase, a THOR costume for MNSSHP that I got on clearance on Disneystore, a stuffed Woody toy, Disney pjs for husband, son, daughter and Kalli sons Girlfriend, I plan on getting a few more things. Like I am going to buy a transfer to iron on to a shirt for Kalli that has just engaged on it for her to wear the day after my son proposes.

Which by the way he (David my son) will be taking Kalli to Coral Reef while my Daughter (Amanda) will take Ryland to Chef Mickeys!

I ended up booking the kids two nights before they check in at the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista, it has free breakfast and free parking.
They will leave early Sat night and arrive around noon and have the rest of the day to relax and swim or go to Disney Springs, the next day is the MNSSHP and we are all going to that, Ill have them come park at GF Ill get them a pass from the front desk to park and we will all ride over to MK around for the party..

Hubby and I have done the MNSSHP twice but last time was in 2014. This will be everyone elses first time. We are all thinking of dressing up, I want to do Queen of hearts, then hubby wants to do mad hatter, daughter wants to do Jasmine and little Ryland will be Thor I havent spoken to David or Kalli yet but I hope they will dress up, altho Im sure we wont all be joined at the hip. This trip is my hubby and I0th wedding anniversary so I, hoping for lots of romance and I know David wants that with Kalli..

1525020277568.png

I ordered a several iron on to make shirts, Im not always so crafty so I pray I can do a good job, one is Mary Poppins silhouette and it says practically perfect in every way, I adore Mary Poppins, another is starbucks and disney and the last is a customized 10th anniversary mickey and minnie shirts. I also ordered magic band covers for hubby and I hubby's is haunted mansion and star wars while mine is Little Mermaid and Dole Whips.

Really interested in disney bounding so hoping to make a couple outfits for DH and I so wish me luck! LOL

Here is me and the kids back in 2011 on the Disney Bus leaving Hollywood Studios

So I have already decided on a park schedule and then rearranged it when I booked a trip for the kids during our trip so that we can spend some time with the family.. So here it goes

Sept 7 we will leave after work and drive to Dolphin resort, dinner will be a drive through on the way down.

Sept 8 will sleep in a bit then have breakfast at Picabu head over to Disney Springs and shop have lunch at Home Coming, dessert at Amorrettes and grab some sprinkles for the resort room! Relax at the grotto pool until around 4 then shower and take the boat over to Epcot for dinner at Via Napoli and dessert at Food and Wine. The kids will be checking into Comfort Inn LBV this day, maybe we will see them not sure, they wont be going to a park at all this day.

Sept 9 leave Dolphin check into VGF, will have a separate bag packed in case room isnt ready bc we will be dressed nice bc after we check into VGF we will head over to CR for CG brunch, our bag will have bathing suits and our MNSSHP outfits. After brunch we will check out the shops at CR and head back to GF check out shops at GF as they are my faves too, then relax at beach pool, Ill have a few drinks at the Oasis Pool bar, then shower and change for MNSSHP, kids will meet us at our room and we will hop on monorail for MK to attend MNSSHP.

I plan on pre buying the photopass so we can all use it and I can get plenty of pics of everyone even when we arent together! Really excited about the special pics you get at MNSSHP!

Sept 10 kids will check into AOA I asked Amanda to film them entering the room since we wont be there so we can get everyone and little Rylan reaction to the suite! I hope to visit it at some point to see it, I toured a cars suite in 2014 when I worked for Disney but Im dying to see it again, but Im sure I wont see it that day.

That day is all of our Epcot Day we will meet up for awhile at some point Im sure. Tommy and I love the breakast panini at Sunshine Seasons so after rope dropping Soarin we will eat breakfast then knock out the rest of future world, head to World Showcase, do pick a pearl, its a tradition my husband loves picking the oyster he always picks the ugliest, hairest one! Hes had very good luck, golden hued twin pearls I had made into earrings, blueish pearl made into ring, and several neckalaces, pins and a ring for my mom. earrings and a ring for Amanda. I think Ill order some cages from etsy or amazon before leaving for me, Amanda and Kalli.

Tommy and I have lunch at Biergarten and after will head out of Epcot, stopping to do probably do Space Ship Earth on the way out. We will relax and swim at the pool for a couple hours, shower and head back to Epcot to enjoy more attractions, snack around Food and Wine and have dinner at Yorkshire, maybe watch Illuminations, not sure tho we may be exhausted and head back to the resort.

Sept 11 this is all of our Hollywood Studios Day! We will get breakfast at Trolley Car cafe, and Im sure meet up with the family at some point. Tommy and I have lunch at SCi Fi and will at some point go back to the the resort to swim and relax, we have Cape May dinner with Amanda that night, its all our faves but David and Kalli will be going to Sci Fi for dinner, I hope to catch the star wars show after dinner and then head back to the resort.

Sept 12 This is the day we check out of VGF and check into PBV, then hop a bus to Animal Kingdom, Ill have to pack another bag with bathing suit and things in case our room insnt ready when we get back for our afternoon swim break not sure what the rest of the family is doing that day I couldnt get them to pin anything down yet for that day. We will get breakfast at a Joffrey cart outside the entrance, we want some of those huge donuts and some coffee. This will be our first visit to Pandora and are really looking forward to it. Will take our normal afternoon break at the resort to relax and swim DInner will be Yak and Yeti using my Landry birthday reward and paying OOP. Hope to catch ROL that evening. Really praying we get a FP for FOP

Sept 13 this is our 10th anniversary. not sure what the kids are doing this day but we will sleep in some then head to Boma for breakfast, come back to resort, relax and swim, maybe rent a boat ( we did this last anniversary at Poly) or go back to Disney Springs to shop. Check out Trade Joes have a couple drinks (this will be our first here ) hope to get family over for this, then dinner is at Ohana with the whole family and fireworks on the Poly Beach. NOTHING beats sitting on the Poly Beach with the hawaiin music in the background, looking at the GF and CR all lit up! Then comes the EWP and then HEA! ALways romantic and I plan on having a nice drink in hand from the beach pool bar..

Sept 14 This is kids last day but we will all be going to Magic Kingdom, now I booked Be OUr Guest for Breakfast before Park opening but now its EMH lol well Im not giving up that BOG ressie.. I really enjoy breakfast here and I told everyone to save a QS credit for this, Im sure I will have to remind them.. We have lunch at Skippers Canteen and later dessert at LTT while the kids have lunch at Tonys... This is a party night so park closes at 6. My intentions is to tell kids to put Rylan in that Pixar Club at CR for the night and have them go back to whatever park they want to go to, they have park hoppers since it was a qualification of free dining, or go to Boardwalk and get some drinks. I think hubby and I will relax at the pool that night, I have always wanted to be in the Volcano pool while fireworks are going off. We wont be taking an afternoon break that day since park closes early, so Im sure we will appreciate the early evening.

Sept 15 kids drive home today, we go to Epcot, plan on having breakast at Capt Cooks for our must do each trip of Tonga Toast, then walk over to TTC to hop monorail for Epcot, today lunch is at Les Halles with snack credits and we will enjoy food and wine as well. Take an afternoon break and dinner is at Rose and Crown, hoping for a good seat for Illuminations.

Sept 16th Sleep in, pack up and check out, head over to Fort Wilderness for brunch and then Disney SPrings I want to take EOS for the ride home and Tommy wants Polite Pig for ride home..

This trip I want to focus on each other, enjoy the parades, do a few character pics and just take my time taking everything in, Im always in such a rush I want to do it differently this time. I use to be a disney COmmando until one day Tommy says " Poly is our dream resort, you can book it if you promise to slow down and take afternoon breaks" I agreed of course but said yea right to myself.. Well when we checked in I was so in love I had no problem taking afternoon breaks and we had the most relaxed, most romantic trip!! It was truly magical, ever since then, no matter what resort we stay in we make time for afternoon breaks..

Tommy always orders me flowers from Disney florist while we are there and I always try to do something special for him, one year I did several I booked him a hair cut on Main St, the behind the seeds tour (he loves to garden) a cabana at the Poly and a limo to take us from the Poly to the Boardwalk for our dinner on our annivesary at Flying Fish. Im not sure what to do this year, Im thinking maybe a fireworks cruise? Maybe a cake? Carriage ride? I just dont know when to fit in the cruise or carraige ride unless i do it on 14th when we go back to resort early evening..If anyone else has any suggestions I would welcome them!

Also thinking about making a couple ears to for myself and my daughter and soon to be daughter in law... We will see...

Well a bit of an update since I started this post yesterday. Went home and hubby and I were talking over dinner and ended up deciding to upgrade our dining to deluxe! The only other time we did deluxe was for a one night stay in 2012 after our Disney Cruise... I was able to make all but one ADRs I believe I have to make one more breakfast, now Im a little concerned about all the time it will take up with all the sit down ADRs, I have a couple QS like Satuli Canteen, BOG and Sunshine Seasons that I don't want to give up bc I love the food and/or ambiance at these places..

Trying more new places with the upgrade to the deluxe plan.
Trattoria Al Forno Bon Voyage Breakfast-first for us
Kona for breakfast-first for breakfast looking forward to Tonga Toast
The Wave for breakfast-first for us
was able to add LTT back in for dinner
Spice Table for dinner- a first for us
Whispering Canyon for dinner- a first for us
Chef De France for lunch-had dinner here in 2012

Not really in to character meals but Bon Voyage food looks interesting, was going to do Cape May first but changed my mind, I wish there were a bit more breakfast choices (Table Service) in the Epcot area that wasn't character and on the DDP

So yet again I made restaurant changes, we were worried that three sit down meals a day may be too much food and time bc park and pool time are important to us so...

Sept 8 Picabu breakfast, Homecoming lunch, Via Napoli dinner (all OOP)
Sept 9 CG brunch, LTT dinner
Sept 10 Biergarten lunch, Spice Table dinner
Sept 11 The Wave breakfast (1st time here), Sci Fi lunch, Cape May dinner
Sept 12 Kona breakfast, Yak &Yeti lunch, Jiko dinner
Sept13 Boma breakfast, Ohana dinner
Sept14 BOG breakfast, Skipper Canteen lunch, Narcossee dinner
Sept 15 Rose & Crown lunch and Le Cellier dinner
Sept16 Trails End brunch and go home

So I ordered a mini tier cake for my son and his GF from the Epcot Bakery to deliver to Coral Reef, its gorgeous and I cant wait for them to see it almost wish I could be there but its to be delivered after the proposal.. Meanwhile DD will be at Chef Mickeys with DS GF son (AKA her soon to be nephew) Im having a slipper dessert delivered there for her (to congratulate her on a new job she starts next week) and a special mickey cupcake to be delivered to my soon to be grandson welcome from Mickey
I also ordered a mini tier cake for our CG brunch it will have the glowing castle covered in glitter aka pixie dust and painted with black mickeys and silver beads.. Should be beautiful and I cant wait to see it.

Also changed reservations again...
Sept 8 we plan on doing a walk up for breakfast at Trattoria Alforno, Home coming lunch and via Napoli dinner
Sept 9th CG brunch, LTT dinner right before MNSSHP
Sept 10 Chefs de france lunch Biergarten Dinner
Sept 11 The wave breakfast, sci fi lunch and cape may dinner
Sept 12 yak and yeti lunch Jiko dinner
Sept 13 Boma breakfast and ohana dinner
Sept 14 BOG breakfast, Skippers Canteen and Narcossee Dinner
Sept 15 Breakfast at Capt Cooks for Tonga Toast, Rose and crown lunch and Le Cellier dinner
Sept 16 Trails end brunch and head home

Another change is bc of health reasons I will be using a mobility scooter for the first time ever that Im really nervous about... I don't want to run over anyone or have anyone give me dirty looks..

More changes!
So hubby and I will spend our anniversary at Typhoon Lagoon, in 25+ trips we haven't done the water parks so Im excited, should still be a relaxing day away.. I was able to move our Boma ADR to an earlier time so we can still have a good breakfast before heading to water park
Also we added Frozen Happily Ever Dessert Party to one of our Epcot evenings and I was able to move my Biergarten to an earlier time that evening as well.
Also I changed some of my dining around again. I changed our MNSSHP dinner from LTT to Be Our Guest!! So excited to try this new menu! I was able to replace our LTT on another MK day the 14th.. Just had to drop Narcossee...
Im mostly packed, and Im 22 days away... One Magicband set will be here today and another on Sat...
