I remember talking a picture dressed in old clothing and standing on the back of a mock-up of the Disney World railroad. Am I misremembering that? I can’t find the picture as it was 1981 when we took the picture. I was about 10 years old.

You’re not misremembering. My family has a similar picture taken in the mid 80s. The photo studio was on Main Street.

I have one with some family members of the train one and I have a shadow profile cutout picture of myself one too…sometime from the ‘80s.

The family photo is in some box in my mother’s house and unfortunately not easily accessible.

In doing a little research, I found an old map of Main Street. The GAF Camera Center (#16 on map, I put a red mark there) is where the photo op was located.

I remember it being right there on the corner from the town square. I wish I could find our picture. Not sure why Disney doesn't bring things like this back, even if it is a very 1960s park thing to do.

We didn’t take our own but you could chose from a large rack of clothing. Selecting our costumes for the photo was as much fun as having it taken.
