Old or new test track?

Flying into Disney tomorrow, and as soon as I check in at the YC, I'm heading straight to Epcot to ride Test Track (and all the other rides too). I have yet to experience the new TT and I was wondering which one you thought was better? The original or the new high tech one?

They're both different in the sense of theming. The original was a automobile testing facility, and the new one is a futuristic design center.

The original Test Track, while it was more realistic, did not really fit into the theme of Future World-a showcase of future technologies and ideas, while Test Track (2.0) fits a lot better with the theming. That being said, the ride layout is almost exactly the same, and it's a very similar experience.

I would say I like the new Test Track better because it's more relevant to the Future World theme, the queue is really neat and the design center is fun, and finally the post show is pretty awesome.

I would definitely head to Test Track at the start of your day. Have a great trip :)

Old, for more creativity and a better concept that made you actually feel like a crash dummy.

New, more relevant to FW, allows you to become involved with the ride and takes you into the world of Tron. Wait? It wasn't suppose to do that?o_O

Prefer the old but I've slowly have come to accept and like the new one.

I prefer the new as well. It fits Future World way better than the old one did, has cooler effects, and the queue is now interesting instead of obnoxious. The only downside I can think of is that they didn't create a new story, but the old one was pretty corny and outdated so the lack of story is still an upgrade IMHO.

New!! Don't get me wrong, I liked the old one, but the new one is way more fun and interactive. H was super into designing the car, comparing it to his brothers and taking photos with it afterwards...even though I accidentally entered our email wrong and never got them. Oops!

I'm not going to ruin it for you by giving you specifics as I would like you to see it for yourself and form your own opinion.

However, I like the old one better.

Visually the new TT is much more appealing, but they took away elements and replaced them with just some lights and an image. You aren't experiencing any wind in the wind tunnel that replaced the heat, cold, and corrosion chambers. You are looking at a model of the test car on a screen with a funnel blowing over it. The bump test is now just a long transition to the handling test.

I preferred being treated as a crash test dummy. More stuff happened to me.

On the whole, I prefer the new one. I remember the old one being more exciting, but then again it's been several years and I wasn't as used to the ride itself.
The new one fits into EPCOT much better, is much more pleasant to be around, has the added fun of the designing a car, and the queue doesn't drive me crazy.
