Old merchandise

I was just curious, what does Disney do with all of the 'old referenced year' merchandise after the new year?

They often run out before the year is out. Often current year merchandise is hard to find in December.

or they just send it to the outlets. I've picked up the previous year's hoodie in February when I was there for the princess half a couple years ago
