Old Dinosaur ride

Much to my disappointment, I have just found out that 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea has been closed down for years (shows how long it's been since I've been to WDW).
Now, it looks like another of my fave rides is no longer in existance. The old ride that took you through prehistoric times which included dinosaurs, etc. I know that there is a new dino ride but it seems fairly scary, nothing I would want my 3 year old to be riding.
Does anybody know which ride I'm talking about? Has it been shut down to make room for the newer, scarier Dino ride?

Yeah I think you are refering to Universe Of Energy which is still around and located at Epcot (even updated to include ellen and bill nye since you have been there last I am sure!) The "scary" ride you are refering to is Dinosaur which I would have to say would probably be pretty scary for your 3 year old as even I still jump every once in a while!

the only ride i can think of would be the universe of energy. the dinosaur part is pretty much the same, but the videos have changed to include ellen, and its missing the old song. its in epcot, usually with not much wait.

Dinosaur (located in Animal Kingdom) is a scary ride(especially for a 3 yr old). I suggest not allowing him to ride it if he's scared of the dark, loud noices, and HUGE ugly Dinos. I love it...but it still scared the Mickey outta me and i'm 26.

Dinosaur in Animal Kingdom is way to intense for a 3 year old. I have been on Dinosaur at least 20 times, and I still come off the ride with my hands shaking (remember when it was Countdown to Extinction that was real intense). The Universe of Energy is good, but I don't know if a 3 year old will enjoy a 20 minute movie, before moving on to the Dinosaurs. All I'm saying is that the ride takes about 45 minutes, it all depends on the child I suppose. But don't get me wrong, it's a great Classic Epcot ride.
