Old Backlot Tour rumor, interesting read...

I think by BLT, he meant backlot tour. I was a bit confused myself, and I am going to edit the title just so it's a bit more clear.

Um, a giant "magma worm" chomping at guests as they ride by in a tram tour..?

Um, wouldn't that look a little bit something like, oh I don't know, perhaps this:

The Journey idea sounds neat, but I would prefer to see it as a stand-alone attraction, and not part of a tram tour. Heck, it would definitely be more immersive than Toy Story (anything would be). And yes, it would be nice to see some additions to the tour. But I fear that trying to create "attractions-along-the-way" as part of a tram tour would be taking a 30 year leap backwards.

Even an omnimover would do a better job of putting me "in" the atmosphere. For example, the Seas with Nemo is more immersive than anything that has been a part of a tram tour.

It's not that a tram tour would be going backwards, more that the studio's has lost it's overall theme. When it was an actual studio, a tram tour fitted in perfectly as part of the theme. The decision to remove the working studio for me has to be one of the decisions that I'm most at odds with. It removed the authenticity from the park.
