Okay... just how thrilling is Forbidden Journey

Confession time: I'm not a thrill ride fan. Thunder and Space Mountain are just about my limits in the coaster range, and I've never even ridden Everest or R&RC because I know I wouldn't enjoy them. That said, I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan and have resigned to ride HP&tFJ next week regardless of how intense it is. I guess you could say I'm curious for what I'm in for.

Motion sims like Star Tours or SeaWorld's Wild Arctic I can deal with fine (and actually enjoy), and rides with only the occasional "brace yourself" moment (ie Splash Mountain, SeaWorld's Atlantis) I can do also without much of a problem. I can also begrudgingly ride Dinosaur, even if I don't feel up for it every trip. Coasters are usually the biggest problem for me.

So how bad is it?

EDIT: Also, what are the lines to get into FJ and Ollivander's looking like these days? Thanks everyone!

If you can handle the actual physical drops on Splash, Space and Thunder as well as the simulated action on Dinosaur, Tours and Spiderman then I don't think you'll have any problem with Potter.

Just think of all those rides combined and you'll have a decent idea what you're in for.

I can do motion sims although I haven't been in 10 years but I don't like rides with any hills or drops. I have heard FJ is part screens and part of it is a track ride. Dinosaur is a ride I am also fine with. I am a little concerned about this ride for my Nov trip. If someone could go into great detail about this ride I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Yes. FJ is not a rollercoaster, and in my opinion can't even be anywhere near considered a coaster. So I think you should be fine! Especially if you can handle Dinosaur, Star Tours, and Splash Mountain.

I'd say the level of 'jerkiness' resembles that in Dinosaur, and it is no more intense than Space Mountain, so you should be fine. There is so much going on that you probably won't have time to think about 'thrilling' the ride is!
