Obviously it isn't Walt. It isn't Roy anymore either. It isn't Roy Jr. and it isn't Michael Eisner who my dad thought it still was. Who is the person that makes the final decisions nowadays on the movies and parks etc? Or is it more of a committee?

Bob Iger? Can't say I have heard of him. I thought one of the Disney grandchildren would be involved at the top somewhere. How did Iger get to the top?

Tinkerbell. After she framed Roger Rabbit she showed just how much power she has in the biz. The Mouse backed out shortly after in fear of his life being tragically ended with a pixie poisoning. And that's how Tink came into her power.

Iger has been president and CEO for about 5 years now

Iger was head of ABC, then there was some moving around where he too a demotion that the called a promotion, which was a little wonky (He was knocked down a peg at ABC, but given some international stuff.

In 2000 he became the COO, second to Eisner. In 2005 he took over from Eisner.

So is Iger good or is he just another Isner? I have to say Disney hanst seemed to get ay better with him but thats just my perspective. I notice most negative effects in Epcot.

No. It's Walt. His brain is frozen and locked in a room below PotC and he controls the entire company through wires and a super computer.

It couldn't be because Dreamfinder and Horizons Would still be in Epcot and Epcot would still be called Epcot Center. MGM Studios wouldn't be called Hollywood Studios which I will never call it that, WDW wouldn't be a ruthless money eater if my point of view is correct and nothing would fall apart or go outdated.

I hear Donald Duck and Goofy have become disillusioned at being overlooked for promotion over the years and are conspiring together and planning a coupe. But, shhhh you never heard that from me :zipit:

You're suggesting that things would remain the same and stagnant if Walt were running the company? I would recommend you read a few books on Walt to get to know what he was really about. I think you'll find that the opposite would more likely be true. He was all about keeping things fresh and new at the parks, not about keeping things the same. In fact, a lot of the attractions that are so beloved by us would probably have long since vanished if Walt were in control.

This is what I ment to say... I know things wouldn't remain the same and even walt said they wouldn't. I just dont see that walt disney perfection anymore. For example... Reflections of earth is a great show. We dont even give a thought about the old shows. The rides should of gave us the same reaction. I miss Spaceship Earth 94 and I shouldn't nor can I help it. Dreamfinder is great, change the ride make it better and keep character that is raved over. I got over horizons, and really one of the most futuristic things in Epcot is Mission Space I think. Extended travel is the future yet to come. I just wish that the pavilion had more. I really hate the name Hollywood Studios and think it should just be called Walt Disney Studios. I also thing Epcot center is the appropriate name for Epcot. My main thoughts are that there is more busyness than magic in the parks these days.
