Ok my friends, I've built a time machine and I need a brave volunteer

Right guys, I've been spending the last few months building a time machine in my garage laboratory and I'm delighted to say it's now complete! It was a painstaking process using many hi-tech parts including an old vcr, a spare dvd player, a washing machine, a Sinclair C5 and part of next doors lawn mower (he still hasn't figured out why it's not working properly since I returned it so please don't say anything as he's quite a big chap). Today I put the final touches to it after dismantling the wiring out of one of Mrs Mergatroids bras and I'm happy to say we're good to go

Now I need a brave volunteer to test it but you have to prove you're worthy (or stupid) enough to be selected for this mission. As part of my intensive selection process I need you to tell me if you had the chance to use the 'Merg Time Traveller 2012' what time would you travel back to Disney World to for the day and why?

It may be that you'd like to stand on the spot where the Magic Kingdom was built before it was there, or perhaps be there on it's opening day? Could it be that you'd like to ride Horizons on it's last day or go back and sample the Tower of Terror on it's opening day with it's original drop sequence? Remember anything is possible with the 'Merg Time Traveller 2012' so convince me you're worthy. I'll even throw in $20 spending money and a packet of M & M's to keep you going during your trip (I'm on a limited budget due to the project expense and having to replace Mrs Mergatroids bra). So go ahead and tell me 'when' you want to go

I would volunteer, but I need assurances that your flux capacitor is of the proper tolerance, voltage rating and capacitance.

Also, has your machine been inspected and certified by the IAoTM

Drop me off just inside Epcot Center turnstiles 1986 - Living Seas is now open. Plus I get to see the old prisms in front of SSE, and the oil rig in Communicore again.

But I need a 20 from back then and m&ms without blue ones in the package. Oh, and a pair of striped tube socks so I don't stand out too much! Thanks!

Just a couple of questions: Does the time machine resemble a 1960s police box? Is it larger on the inside than the outside? Does it come complete with a hot female assistant or two?

As time machines go, I'd always rather go forward than back.

But if I have to pick...and I only get one lousy day, I'll pick The day we see in that pic of Walt and Marty Sklar standing by the X. I get to be invisible and just hang around, right?

Should that be "one lousy Disney Day?" Oh, wait, no. That wasn't the ad campaign, was it?

In any event, I'd love to take my HD camcorder back to, say, a point in the early '90s, when I could visit the following (multiple times): Spaceship Earth, Horizons, World of Motion, Ice Station Cool, Journey Into Imagination, Wonders of Life, Wonders of China, Food Rocks! or Kitchen Kabaret, Communicore or the Innoventions with Alec Tronic, the original O'Canada!, The Mickey Mouse Revue, Dreamflight or If You Had Wings, the old Backlot Tram Tour, the Animation Tour (yeah, I'd have to do this one on the sly), Sorcery in the Sky, and whatever else isn't around anymore. This would preferably be during a slow time of the year, but on a Saturday so that I would have a maximum amount of time to accomplish everything. Oh, and a day with no rain or high temperatures/humidity. That's not asking for too much, is it?

Well my year would be our first visit in 2004 just to relive those first magical moments all over again with DW and DS. Oh just one thing else.May I use my own time machine,it's called The Gelfirter and has been tested by three amazing Canadians.:lookaroun

I would also like to go back to my first visit....December 1973. I was 12 yrs old. We were from a very rural area at that time. WDW was an amazing place for a youngster. Truly a place that far exceeded a childs imagination.

I woke one morning and the ENTIRE resort was decorated. I mean it I never seen a christmas wonderland in my wildest dreams. I was old enough to not believe in Santa Claus anymore but for the life of me I couldnt rationalize how this could have been pulled off over a single night without the help of some "magical" assistance. My mind was playing tricks on me. Something was pulling me back to adolesence. For one magical moment even at such a young age I had an out of body experience.

To this day when I visit I can still close my eyes and remember it like it was yesterday. Take me to that day. Forget about the M & M's I will pay you...name your price.

OK heres my time traveling trip. I go back in time and am sitting in Walt's office as he wonders where he can get a loan for building WDW. I pull out my checkbook and write him a check, in return I'm paid back with multi shares of Disney stock. Going back to present time, I am sitting pretty as head of the board and can get into the parks for free. :ROFLOL:
