Pre-Trip Ok...I HAVE to tell someone...

Hey everybody. So I just (secretly) booked an INSANE deal on Expedia today for this coming Memorial Day weekend. As you know, that's been the weekend that Disney has held their 24-hour parties. My mom and I went in 2013. Even though it hasn't been announced yet nor have there been any rumors I've been searching for a good deal for a while. Flights are a bit pricier but I just booked an AWESOME hotel rate. Expedia was having a stay 4 nights save $150 sale so I decided to check it out. I ended up finding a hotel for $36 a night (Maingate Resort and Spa). I decided why not and looked at it. With my mobile discount, the total for 4 NIGHTS came up to a grand total of $18 and some change. WOAH! Now I know Maingate won't be Grand Flo or even All-Star level experience, but we don't plan on spending much time at the resort. I booked it because how many times can you say you've stayed in Orlando for less than $5 a night!

So here I stand...no flights, no tickets, no rental car, no family that knows, two ADRs, and an offsite hotel reservation. Oh, and no 24 hour party yet announced. But I do have free cancellation before May 20 and really losing $18 won't break the bank anyway.

Have any of you ever done something like this?? I admit, it was a rush at first but I've been dying to tell someone and it hasn't even been an hour! More details for this trip coming up soon (if it even happens!) Praying everything works out :)

Wow! Never ever did it this way, and for this kind of $. I suprised the rest of my family once by booking to a hotel nearby DLP and I came home from work and told them we had to pack and leave. But we had AP's so that was different from you. :)

That would be fun!

I personally have never done it the way you described but what the heck, when can you find a room for that cheap. Let us know the rest of the plans go.
Thanks...I will!

Fingers and toes crossed, what an amazing deal!
