Ohana Question

Are there any kid options available at Ohana for dinner? Not seeing any on any menu or review that I've found. DOn't think the kids will eat skewered meats and probably shouldn't let them just eat bread pudding.... Thanks

Yes. You need to ask for the kids menu though. My girls don't like the meats or sides (they do love the wings though) and we always get them a hot dog or nuggets with fries. For dessert, they get a sundae since they don't like the bread pudding either (that's ok - more for me).

I was there a few days ago with some children and they definitely have a children's menu. I know they have grilled cheese as that's what they had and then she was allowed to pick from the "adult" choices. They also brought out a chocolate brownie like cupcake with frosting for them in addition to the bread pudding they brought for us:

I know we've been offered kid options when we've dined there. Our girls will eat the regular food, so we've never had to explore too much of it, but as others have noted...they do have more options. Last time we dined there, our server opted to bring them ice cream without us even asking since he wasn't sure if they'd like the bread pudding.

Thanks so much! The kids MIGHT try the chicken skewers but i just wanted to have a safe option too. Also - all the games and activitiesthat I've read about - they are around for dinner, right? I know the characters aren't, but are the games?

ALso - i booked it for 5:15 the first day we are there. There is no way we are making it until fireworks on our travel day BUT at 5:15 in March do you think we will at least catch the sunset?

Currently Ohana's is not serving chicken skewers (at least as Aug. 26), but they may have it back on the menu later.

I don't know about March, but we had the 5:15pm dinner slot last September and it was still light outside when we were done dining. We made our way back to MK after dinner for MSEP and I remember the sun setting while we were sitting on the curb waiting on the parade.

As for the meat, yeah...sounds like the chicken is gone. My girls were big on the noodles, the chicken wings, and the shrimp...if that helps any.

Keep in mind that daylight savings time occurs in march. In the first part of the month, the sun will set sometime around 6:30pm (earlier than August) while after DST kicks in, it's back an hour 7:30pm.

Yes, they definitely do games at dinner. There is a host who walks around, sometimes he plays the ukelele, other times he inquires about birthdays and anniversaries, and he runs the activities. Over the years my girls been in a conga line, competed in limbo contests, hula hooped, and done coconut races. O'hana is a high energy, very fun place. One recommendation: ask for the main room. One year we were seated on the other side of a wall and we could not see the cooking area or the activities. The kids got up to do them, but then I had to get up too because I didn't want them wandering around without me. Other times, we have been seated in the main room and it was relaxing to sit there and watch all of the activities and my kids without having to jump up and move around.

Just wanted to say 2 years ago, our travel co. had two very picky kids (one was listed as an adult) who wouldn't eat anything on the dinner menu. They brought them out their very own special family style platter. I believe it was grilled cheese, chicken fingers and something else...mac & cheese maybe? or maybe it was hotdogs...I don't remember. anyway, they got a real kick out of it. Don't know if they still do it though.

I have a grandson with wheat and beef allergies. Ohana was the best experience we had our entire trip. They are great with kids and their eating needs!
