Ive always heard that Ohana is one of those restaurants that most people love.

I know its a prix fix sort of thing.

My husband and I are both kinda picky. He doesnt eat salad or veggies really. I dont eat any pork.

Do they swap out stuff if you dont want it? Would it be worth going? Or should we just write it off and go somewhere else where we can just order what we choose?

Thanks!

You can take what you want. Portions for us last week were huge. I'm not much on salad or veggies either and pork and I don't work so I just didn't take anything of those. Between the bread, noodles, shrimp, chicken and beef plus the bread pudding there's plenty of food.

If you're picky about being seated on time that may be an issue. They seem to run behind. We were at the 50 minute mark and about to give up.

It was an enjoyable meal food wise though.

You should be fine with the chicken, beef, and shrimp as far as the meats go. Just say no when they bring the pork. The noodles usually come out with the broccoli, but you don't have to eat the broccoli if you don't want it. You also start with a salad and bread...and I guess you can just pass on the salad. I think the dumplings are pork filled, but you'll also get chicken wings around that point as well.

I am probably one of the most picky people on the planet (I do not eat meat, only shellfish and fish and do not really like many vegtables and do not like condiments), but I love Ohana and feel that I get my $$$ worth. I do eat the salad and bread, but skip the veggies, dumplings and wings. I also skip the pork, beef and chicken and just load up on the shrimp. Every time I've eaten there they just keep bringing the shrimp to me and piling it on my plate since I do not eat the other offerings. It is some of the best shrimp I've ever had! I do not like bread pudding either, but after reading all of the rave reviews I tried it. I love it!!! It's probably my favorite dessert in all of Disney World. I've actually got reservations at Ohana next Thursday--I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

I LOVE the appetizers at OHANA. I even like their salad which I am not a fan of mandarin oranges but it works for this one. The sticky wings... well I am a big wing fan, and the pot stickers are sooo good and the noodles too. I only really like the chicken part of the meats..and sometimes the shrimps if they aren't too shrimpy tasting...I don't much care for the beef and pork. The bread pudding dessert is out of this world. I have never walked out of that restaurant without needing to walk for an hour. I get uncomfortably full after dining there but I can't seem to help myself.

So in theory then, since my wife would only eat the chicken, they would just keep bringing her that? That is good to know!

Yes, it's not about "swapping out." When they walk around with a skewer of something you like, you say yes (and perhaps ask for extra if it's the only thing you like), and when they offer a skewer of something you don't like, you just say no thank you.
