A spokesperson for the Henson family tells Deadline the Church of Scientology is not in consideration as a potential buyer of the property:

A spokesperson for the Jim Henson family said: “In regards to recent rumors about the sale of the La Brea studio lot, the Henson family is not in any business dealings with the Church of Scientology, and that organization is not in consideration as a potential buyer of the property. It is still the family’s intention to move The Jim Henson Company to a new location it can share with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, but at this time the family is not in escrow with any buyer.”

Sorry about that. You can take it down if you'd like. I don't have any idea how to take it down myself. Anyway, I hope they do end up finding a wonderful home for the historic and very wonderful property. Would be wonderful if some type of historic agency maybe a non-profit bought the land and turned it into some kind of wonderful center for the public to enjoy bc of its Charlie Chaplin history and Muppets, etc.
