Offsite,Reasonable Priced,Hotel,Between Xmas and New Year

The prices I've seen are quite excessive (as you would expect).
Any locations that still offer a reasonable deal ?(Kissimmee ,Orlando)

You are travelling at the busiest week of the year - I imgaine you have more chance of seeing Scotland winning the World Cup than getting a cheap hotel in that week.

rates will be higher this year too, as there is really only 1 week of usable vacation time for most families. The last few years, with Christmas falling midweek, most schools were out the Friday before, and then did not return until the Monday after the NY. This year, with both holidays on the weekend, most students get out a few days prior to the holiday (like Wednesday) and return to school a few days after the NY holiday....Since the usable vacation period is shorter, the overall demand for airfare and hotels in Orlando is compressed into this shorter period. Since demand is higher, so are hotel rates.
