Officially set date for next WDW visit

My fiance and I have officially set a date for our next visit to WDW, June 2015, when we can also celebrate our one year anniversary. Does anyone know usually how the dates work for booking? I know we can't book that far in advance now, but as soon as it becomes available, we are going to book. It also gives us plenty of time to save up for staying at the Contemporary resort, the one resort she has always wanted to stay in (me...I want to stay in the Grand Floridian).

Is it June 2015 yet???

Confused? If it will be your one year anniversary in 2015 that must mean you have not met yet? I am sure it is a typo! Either way have fun! Both resorts are great, a little high priced in my opinion. I will stay at a value and extend my vacation days any time over a short expensive trip.

WorldDad is correct. Looking at prices, we have decided we will stay at Wilderness Lodge, we've read some pretty good things about that resort also. Has anyone stayed there?

First of all..Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! The Wilderness Lodge is beautiful and romantic. The grounds are spectacular for long walks in the morning or evening. When you walk to the boat ramp, the boat on the left will take you to the Magic Kingdom and the boat on the right will take you to the Contemporary Resort where you can explore and dine. You can also access the monorail there for the MK or the TCC to go on to Epcot. Of course, you can also use the busses to travel to any of the parks. Artist Point is a must do for a romantic Anniversary dinner.
Be specific when you request a room and ask for a king room as your first priority. We requested a lobby room first and we were given 1 queen bed and 2 bunks. Not at all what my husband and I wanted. The QS restaurant, Roaring Forks, can be very crowded and slow during peak breakfast time. You will find that your internet connection is slow and spotty at best. I found that the only way to connect was in the lobby....a spectacular place to sit and watch people, or just sit and enjoy the lobby height fireplace....yes, it is lit in June too.
The Wilderness Lodge will not disappoint. It is small enough to be close to all of the amenities no matter where your room is. And do visit the Contemporary Resort....my personal favorite. Maybe you will decide to stay there on your 2nd Anniversary!

Have you ever thought about renting DVC points? That would make your dream of stay at the CR and GF possible.... probably still pricey and more expensive than WL. But you could easily spend a week at the VGF in a studio for under $2,000.

Get a travel agent! They will get you booked as soon as possible and keep an eye out for discounts! They're free. :)

WL is nice. I'd rather stay there than the Contemporary. I'd rather stay most anywhere else - not a Contemporary fan! It's no comment on the hotel, just a personal preference. Take a good look around at onsite and offsite hotels. You have a lot of time. :)

The couple obviously plans to marry in June, 2014. :)

So more decisions have been made...I think we are going to go with what is currently the deluxe dining plan for 2014, assuming it is the same or similar in 2015, this way we don't have to try to move meals around if we do a 2 credit table service and go one day out of pocket or just snacks. Also, we could do more than 1 2 credit dinner if we wanted to during our trip. I know a few must go to restaurants are Le Cellier, and Be Our Guest, but we're also going to hit Cinderella's Royal Table and probably a character meal with Mary Poppins (we did 1900 Park Fare breakfast last year, and it's my favorite Disney movie). I want to also go to more restaurants that we've not been to, which is quite a few. I am looking forward to following Disneyworld and seeing what changes they will be making to the park also. We just saw Saving Mr Banks today and afterwards we just want to go back to Disney right away!!!

Well looks like we have decided to save on some money and go with a Moderate Resort, not that I'm complaining, because we will get to save more money for souvenirs...I think we will be staying in French Quarter, as it's a small resort, and it was the first resort I stayed at (a long time ago, 1997 I think) so I'm looking forward to going back. I'm hoping that they open 2015 reservations soon, as I'm ready to book the trip, but I can wait...afterall, I would have to no matter what.
