I imagine the backlot tour is going through such a long re-hab to allow full access to the stunt show site for construction workers. I'm sure the tours going around the site limit how much they can get into and out of the site during the day. Perhaps it might even be too dangerous in the upcoming months for tour trams to be running through the area.

There is also the possibility that they may be changing the Pearl Harbor beginning or the whole tour as it will soon travel through the stunt show site when its finished. Personally, I think making it focused around the making of Pirates would be perfect. A lot of change to the water effects tank would be needed, but Pirates was much more of a commercial and popular success than Pearl Harbor was. PH didn't even make 200 million at the Box office despite its hype but Pirates made well over 300 million from relatively mild hype. Jerry Bruckheimer did both, so they wouldn't be getting rid of him to do such a change. But its probably just wishful thinking on my part.

I imagine the rehab might also include a much needed re-furb of Catastrophe Canyon. The walls in the canyon are marked badly where the flames shoot up and it is not supposed to look like that.

:sohappy: :sohappy: wooo! that'd be awesome! i'd love to see a making of Pirates thing! course, i am a bit biased...i loved Pirates, but i hated PH...that had to have been the most predictable love triangle ever! but let's not get into that....
you've got me all excited now, CTXRover...wish it would really happen, though!

Pearl Harbor wasn’t that bad … but I think that the entire area needs to go or be re-focused, it’s one of those areas where they keep adding new things to it but it never gets any better. I feel that the backstage area was at its best back when the park first opened. However they should re-theme the area around Pirates of the Caribbean, that movie used every film making trick in the book and would be a great tool to bring guest behind the scenes of movie making.

The whole tour should be scrapped and used for anything else, a ride, a show, something. As it stands now, it's pretty pointless. At least with the houses it was "somewhat" interesting, but now there just isn't anything there.

I agree, the area could be much better utilized and gives much needed land to expand the park.

That and the movie being one of the biggest Disney movies ever. BTW, WDWSpider, love your avatar. MC ______ Pants is great. If you don't know what I mean, watch Adult Swim sometimes. You'll find out soon enough.

I can only see one flaw in Fantasmic!

MALEFICENT (in dragon form)...the commercial is so misleading!

Is Disneyland's Dragon similar to the one we have?
