Off the beaten pathway...

One of our favorite, and seemingly undiscovered, walks in the MK is the path that goes next to the RR tracks between SM and the railroad stop in Mickey's Starland (or whatever it's called now!). It's always pretty much deserted , so it's the quickest way to get from the train to Tomorrowland.
I'm sure there are other "out-of-the-way" paths too - does anyone have a favorite?

We like to take the path that goes from the Castle to Belle's Story book place. It is almost always deserted and right in the middle you can stop and look out at the hub. It's not very long but it is a lovely stroll.

Yeah, but it sure plugs up on the one end when Belle is there for story time! Got stuck there once trying to pass through a mob of strollers, couldn't get ours through (even with dirty looks.)

Some people think they can park wherever they want, and once one person does, hey, look, a new stroller parking lot!

I'm partial to the secret path that no longer exists at AK. You had to wander up a dirt path across stepping stones over the small creek.

You picked my favorite, Nemo! I love that pathway. It's my favorite spot for a few minutes of quiet or when it's time to take out my cell phone and touch base with my family at home. It 's a little oasis yet it is just steps away from the hub-bub of Tomorrowland or ToonTown.

My favorite shortcut at the MK is going from Splash Mountain to across the street from Hall of Presidents alongside the river. This can be VERY helpful during Spectromagic.

We usually don't use the Tomorrowland/Toontown Fair walkway because we are hardly ever in Toontown Fair, but it is a great walkway.

Another often used shortcut is going around Magic Carpets of Aladdin and past the Tiki Room Exit that goes right to the Country Bear Jamboree Wheelchair entrance. That can cut some serious steps.

I walked on this path just 3 weeks ago. It's not marked at all and the entrances to the path are overgrown, but the path itself still looks somewhat maintained - it has fresh mulch on it - and lights along it on the ground. I'm guessing they don't really want people on the path anymore, but I walked along it and hopped along the little stepping stones in the creek. You can still access it from near the smoking section where Asia lets out as you're walking toward Africa.
Pretty cool.

I talked about that in my trip report, my wife found it and its a nice spot to check our the trains coming and going. just sneak around the space mountain gift shop and between indy speedway. take you into mickey's toontown.
