So I'm looking at a last minute weekend trip to Disney world? Debating if I should stay on site or off. On site seems pretty booked and expensive. What are some of your go to off site hotels?

I can say really nice things about the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando and the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee. Nice rooms, nice pools, nice restaurants, etc.

And if you're looking for a better price, the Homewood Suites on International Drive in Orlando is okay too.

If I remember correctly, the suites are spacious and the room includes a hot breakfast buffet in the morning and an evening happy hour with a light meal. Also, it's walking distance to some touristy night life stuff - Cuba Libre, B.B. King's Blues Club, Howl at the Moon, etc.

Yes, if you haven't noticed, the hotels I'm familiar with are the ones that cater to the Orlando conventioneering crowd.

We are doing a 2 night weekend trip in September. Our only value option was in All Star Sports. There were some availability in the mods and deluxe resorts, but since its such a quick trip I couldn't bring myself to spend $300 a night (with a 25% room discount). Not sure if you are into budget or classier accommodations, but we have stayed at the Quality Inn by the Parks and it was a nice clean motel with hot breakfast included for less than $80 a night.

We've stayed at one of the hotels in the Marriott Village for all of our off site stays. Both the Springhill and Fairfield hotels have free breakfast. Free shuttle service to WDW ( make reservations at the hotel). Free parking at the hotel.

I would always choose a WDW resort if possible because I like being in the bubble. But you can find some really good deals at the Disney Springs area hotels. MouseSavers shows a discount at B Resort in Disney Springs that's really affordable. And, until the end of the year, they qualify for 60 day FP and EMH.

Depending on your budget or what is necessary for your hotel! I have found 3 star hotel(Below in signature) for $300 for 8 days, 2 star hotel right outside of Hotel Plaza Blvd area for $65/night! Try looking at Rosen brand hotels, they seem to be the best price!
