I help run a coaster site called www.coasterforce.com. Currently, someone came back from Epcot saying that they have seen part of SSE covered off and with project stickers a la Expedition Everest, only now it says SSE: Time Racers and Project Gemini. Uh-oh. Odd thing is, that he has never seen the EE ones and it seems very true. Anyone have any info?

I read the article and think project gemini sounds very...er....ambitious. I like a lot of the concepts and changes but they really shouldn't mess with SE. It's a classic...to me it's like adding a LIM coaster with flames and water fountains into IASW...i think it would be overkill....

I'm sorry if this info is included in the article you linked to, I dont have time to read it all now, too busy at work! Just a quick question, do you have any closure dates?

I was in Epcot all week last week and I did not see anything going on near SSE. My last day in there was the 24th and I rode it that day, walked all the way around it taking pictures of things, and didn't see anything at all like that.

BTW, rode M:S 24 or 25 times in the week, including 14 rides on one night, it had rained and you could walk right into the ready rooms.

Havent we already been through this? I thought Microsoft pulled out or At&t stayed or something like that... meaning that time racers wont be happening... at least not for some time. :veryconfu

I can get you there Grizz....If you guys want pics when I go down saturday, can you atleast give me a little info as to where they are. I found the Everest ones, no problem, so I know what Im looking for. But to find 3 different titles, 3 different kinds of tags will be hard....Are they inside, outside of the ride?...is it on the ride itself or surrounding area?

I believe the reporter implied it's SOMEWHERE "UNDER" the sphere (surrounding area). Look for anything unusual in the general area of Spaceship Earth that especially may be blocked off.

Hey guys,
I am going tommorow and I'll take my Digital Camera with me and take picture's if this is true. If it is then when I get back I'll post the picture's. I'm only going for the day so hopefully I should get the pics up by Thursday.

It doesn't sound like something that Disney would do. I don't think that thay would just put stickers in places and let people ride it like that. I still don't see why Disney would replace it. It tears me up inside just thinking about it. If they were to replace SE, then my two favorite rides in WDW history would be gone. Now, that would hurt.

I won't believe it til I see it. We can talk all about these "stickers" but we aren't officially sure if they're even there. I'm just going to wait to panic after the pics come in! Thanks everyone saying they take pics!!:sohappy:

I find this very hard to belive.....This would be ALL over these boards if someone saw this. Plus SSE is very much in the open where people HAVE to walk through it so I cant belive people are missing it......

I was at Epcot this morning and did not see anything. I did not get in the queue line so I was not right underneath it. I brought my camera to take pictures if I would have seen anything. Maybe I missed it.

Theres a new rumour floating around on Screamscape.com from a guy who calls himself the monkey. He apparently has info on Time Racers and has heard the SSE is to close in Spring 2005. He says the left path around SSE will be closed off for trucks to cart away rubbish etc. and that this left path area will then be used as the 'Launch' area of the new ride.

Interesting but is it true?!?

You might just have to wait til saturday guys. If their there, I'll find em....If I come back pictureless, chances are this might of just been a little lie...but who knows
