October or November long weekend for F&W

Thinking of either October 11 to the 15th or November 1st to the 5th for our Adults only disney trip. Planning on doing Epcot on the Friday and maybe Universal Studios on the Sunday. Looking at trying to snag a 1 bedroom at either BCV or BWV at the 7 month mark. I have heard the October time has gotten busier due to some Southern schools having vacation during that time and then I believe the Wine and Dine Half Marathon goes on during that November weekend. So what would be the least crowded, and best weekend to try to get a place at the BCV or BWV.
