October or December 2010?

I'm SO HAPPY to say that my family, one of my friends and i are going to WDW next year, but the thing that is making us wonder is what month to go in, we've been in both months before but we can't decide.

So if you were in my situation which month would you choose to go in?
October or December? and Why?

I have been there during both times, and I have to say, I'm in favor of the beginning of December. Disney is even more magical with the holiday decorations up and in full swing. The weather is much cooler and the crowds are low. Osborne Spectacle of Lights at DHS and the Candlelight Processional at Epcot were just amazing. Both almost left me speechless (thats huge, I always have something to say! ). MVMCP was alot of fun and the Christmas decor at all the resorts were awesome.

Although we loved our December trip last year. I would pick October. The weather is nicer and much more predictable. Crowd wise it would depend when in December, the earlier the less busy.

Never been in December, but try to steer clear of the weekend of, and following Columbus day, it was really really busy (but busy for us might not be for you, we usually go in January!) That weekend following the crowds really die down. Great weather in October as well, and you can also enjoy the Halloween atmosphere. Maybe even the MNSSHP!

I like the begining of december, parks are a little quieter and of course there's Mickey's Christmas Party. We go every year to put us in the holiday spirit. Also less bugs, october is still kind of hot and muggy and seems like there's more bugs around.

So long as its not near Columbus day weekend for your October decision or between Christmas and New Years for your December decision...you rally can't go wrong. I prefer December...I just love Christmas time and anytime between Thanksgiving and New Years for me is Christmas time...so my vote is December.

My vote is for the beginning of December, as it was one of my favorite trips. Small crowds, and all the holiday decorations = great trip! :)

October would also be smaller crowds though, and you could see the Halloween decorations. So both times of year would be nice.

You all realize that, every time one of these "should I go in December" threads pops up and everyone says yes, that pretty soon that will be the busiest month of the year?
