october fest?

In my reading, I thought I saw something about Octoberfest in Epcot Germany. I checked the Disney site and didn't find any related information. Does anyone know anything about this? It's quite possible I could have misread. I read my Disney guides before bed. (happy disney thoughts in my dreams after a major @#!@ day) Any help would be great. My daughter and I have never been to Epcot and I'm looking for adventures. Also, if anyone knows anything I shouldn't miss or anything they think an 8 year old girl would enjoy (in Epcot) without being "bored", please let me know.

Thanks for all the help and advice in advance. I love this site. I wish I knew of it when I took my trip in 2000.

I believe oktoberfest is the restaurant in germany, and has a polka band, bratwurst, beer, and all that....sort of like living in wisconsin, which is why i dont go :) I get all that here at home.....

Although i love to go to germany and get a big helping of sauerkraut....yum.....

Hmmm..... polka and beer...I wonder if I should take my daughter to one of the "kid programs" and go let loose for a night. Ha! Ha! Just kidding all. We go every two years and that's our time for just the two of us. Any hints on what she may enjoy in Epcot?

The restaurant is called "Biergarten". I have not had dinner there, but for lunch, they had a buffet and a stage where the "Alpine Trio" performed.

The Oktoberfest celebration is held a few times a day, during the month of October, in the Saint George Plaza of the Pavillion, just outside, next to the Promenade. It´s an interactive show in which guests also participate. :)

I think she would enjoy meeting cast members from all over the world; taking Maelstrom, the ride in Norway, as well as the one in the mexican pavillion; watching the circlevision in Canada, eating in Morocco while watching the belly dancer´s show; seeing the show of the Houzali Trouppe acrobats as well as the acrobat kids in China; watching the Candy artist work in the Japanese Pavillion; just try to catch the performers in every pavillion, I´m sure she will have lots of things to pay attention to!
