I live near London in the UK ,and my family is planing staying at the Swan for 10 days at the end of the year.I was thinking about going in November before thanksgiving week ,but I'm a bit worried about Jersey week.So ,I'm considering going in October instead ,and my question is what would be the best time to go to WDW crowd wise.Any info would be highly appreciated !

October crowds

As early in October as you can. The later it gets in the month the more crowded it gets. When you get toward the 12th of October it is Columbus Day weekend and many kids are out of school. The later in the month it is the high the crowds are for MNSSHP. Your best bet is to go in mid to late September. Of course then you have to deal with the love bugs all over the place.

Ive been 4 times in october usually around week 2 an 3 travelling from the uk. We tend to avoid the parks at the weekend during the day preferring to dine in the parks for evening meal an doin a few things then...but outside of that it isnt too bad...you have to queue for some thing longest we queued was 45 mins for its a small world....but good use of fast passes an utilising extra hours normally works well for us....xx

It was very busy that Saturday think it may have been the Columbus weekend - as there were a lot of small children around that day!!!

October is a great time to be at Disney. Columbus Weekend is not too bad but it is a little more crowded than the other weekends in October. If you go to Epcot and you are not interested in the Food and Wine Festival, I would avoid the weekends at Epcot. Have a great time!
