In Oct the hours are shorter .......has any one of you frequent visitors any different suggestions on what to do ?

OR do we stay at the parks from 9-5 and then catch a couple of hours sleep before the evening ?

Hi. I'm going down in October myself (17th-21st). We're taking in the Mickey's Not-So-Scary- Halloween Party on the 20th at the Magic Kingdom. It's held from 7:00pm-12:00am and a lot of the attractions are still operating. Tickets do cost extra ($30), but it will give us 5 extra hours in the Magic Kingdom with smaller crowds, special parades, and other Halloween themed activities. Another suggestion is to head over to Downtown Disney. One thing we're definitely going to spend a night at over there is DisneyQuest. I'm anxious to try out all of the Virtual Reality games and activities they have over there. I've seen the hours posted as being open until 11:30pm most nights. Admission is extra to DisneyQuest ($22) unless you have the Ultimate Parkhopper Pass, then admission is included with that level of ticket.

Take a look at the Disney World site to check out some of these events and places.

Have fun! I know we will!!

i'm sorry this is not an answer to your question but i have a question about MNSSHP. Is the 30$ on top of the ticket for the day like an e-night or is it seperate?

Yes, the $30 is on top of your ticket price for the day's admission. However, you don't have to purchase a park ticket for the day to be able to purchase the MNSSHP tickets. You can just purchase those seperately.

The party starts at 7:00pm and lasts until 12:00am, and almost all of the rides and attractions will be open. (My friend and I are 31 years old and we made sure the attractions would be running before we spent the money. We really aren't going for the kids activities, mainly the attractions).

Well be there that night too. The parks closing a bit earlier gives you the opertunity to make the most of the resort or other things like Boardwalk, DTD or many of the good eateries spread around the area.

Well remember that if you're on the far side of the park at 5pm and take a slow wander through, stopping to shop and grab a b ite to eat on the way then it can be 7pm before you get out of the park.

When we go late in the year we always do this, as do many others. The shops and the restaurants are always open way past closing time.
