I just booked last minute trip for Oct. 21st-26th. We are going to MNSSHP on the 24th. I have nothing else planned. We will be staying at All-stars sports with the quick meal plan. It will be me and my 10 year old son, his 1st visit. He is not too excited about seeing characters, so I am not worrying to much about ADRs. We have a 4 day pass with no hopper. I would lke some suggestions for what to do the first day. Our flight arrives at 1230p. But I wasn't planning on using a park ticket that day. Any help or suggestions would be great.

Congrats! We'll be there all of those dates too. To me touring the parks seems much easier for two people, especially if neither is very young. So you'll have a great time. Best advice I have is to read the Unofficial Guide to WDW and maybe use their touring plans for the first few hours of the day. Most important thing seems to be to get to the parks early before the crowds increase, use Fastpass, and have fun!

Congrats on your trip! There are several things you could do on your first day! Maybe get checked-in and head to the pool? That's a very nice way to ease into your vacation, plus air travel can be stressful sometimes. You could go to Downtown Disney and have dinner and sort of plan the rest of your week. I love Earl of Sandwich; it's incredible. It's also nice to scout out souvenirs, purchase what you want and have it delivered back to your resort. That way, the rest of your week can be spent in the parks!

You are going to have a blast at MNSSHP! It's one of my favorite events. Get there early and enjoy! Your son might like seeing the Villains more than the other characters. I remember going through that phase. :)
