OC - Rental Car or Taxi?

I'm taking my girlfriend to DLR for her birthday and we're flying into Orange County Airport. Does anyone know approximately how much a taxi would run us between the airport and DLR? I'm trying to decide if it's better to take a taxi or just rent a car.

According to the John Wayne Airport website http://www.ocair.com and Yellow Cab, a taxicab from John Wayne to Disneyland will cost about $45 before tip.

There's also the option of renting a car once you get to your hotel near Disneyland. Enterprise always has the best rates, and they have an office on Katella across the street from the GardenWalk Mall and the Cheesecake Factory. Hertz, Avis and the other guys also have offices around Disneyland and the Anaheim Convention Center. Maybe play around with rates from the Enterprise.com website to see if it's cheaper to rent a car away from the airport?

I've been researching for a potential trip to DLR also. There are shuttles available also. The Disneyland Resort Express (graylineanaheim.com) is $27 round trip per adult and the Super Shuttle (supershuttle.com) is $20 round trip per adult from John Wayne Airport (Orange County). Hope you have a great trip!!
