After a very long, but very fun day yesterday, I decided I really wanted to go to the extended Star Wars Weekends because Amy Allen(Aayla Secura) was going to be there. I left my house at just before 8AM and went to get gas. The sensor on the pump decided it would stop working when I went to fill the tank, though and so the gas overflowed and splashed onto my foot. It didn't seem to concern the employees of the 7-Eleven gas station on the corner of Lake Underhill Road and Alafaya Trail as the response was an unenthusiastic "Oh. Well, I'll take care of it, then." I got myself cleaned up and didn't like the way the day was starting, but that was really the only bad thing to happen, so that wasn't too bad.
I got to The Studios at just before 9AM and went straight over to get my FastPass for Amy Allen. The time I got was for between 3:15 and 3:20, so I realized it was going to be another long day for me. But if a long day means having fun in the parks, I don't mind at all. I went over to the Star Wars edition of WWTBAM and found out that I still had a lot of time before it started so I got some pictures:
With Greedo and a Gamorrean
And with Vader
Sat in on the WWTBAM game after that and got the answers right, but there wasn't enough time for any more than one player. After that was over, I went and got some food, then decided to walk around and see what else there was going on. I got a couple of more pictures taken:
With Jedi Mickey
And with some Clone Troopers
After that I went over to the Great Movie Ride and was happy to see that in the section that has the shoot out between the gangster who takes over your vehicle and his men against the cops in the car, the car actually was working properly this time. It actually was pulled back in the tunnel at the start. Then the headlights came on and it drove up. The effects for the bullets hitting the car and taking out a headlight worked too. It was great to see. We also had a wonderful CM named Micheal who was our guide and you can tell he has to be new because he just was so darned enthusiastic.
I managed to wander around a bit more and looked in the One Man's Dream area, since that's always nice to look through when you need to pass some time. It was getting close to the time for my Fast Pass and I found out that because of rain earlier(during the time I was on GMR) they had moved the signing to the ABC Theater area. I got in and got my picture with and autograph from the lovely Amy Allen. Here's the pic:
When I was done with that, I headed over to MK so I could set up a VMK character I had promised someone. While there I went on the Jungle Cruise and had a skipper named Tommy who will be working at Hong Kong Disneyland. He seemed like a nice guy, and just needed to work on his inflections and timing a little. I think he'll do just fine, though. Afterwards, I got myself a pineapple float, which I had been craving, and headed back home. Now, I am very tired and will likely get some sleep very soon.... I hope....
