Last Thursday during our visit to WDW, My wife and I decided to take the boat launch from the Polynesian to the M.K. When we got on the boat, we were the only two people on the boat, and without us asking, the driver asked if we would like him to take a picture of both of us. We agreed and when the driver, Bob went to hand me back my camera he dropped it, ( and it was toasted). He then apolizigized several times, and on we went to the M.K. When we were exiting the boat he again said he was sorry, and again without us asking or complaining ( it was an accident), he said that he would call his boss to see if anything could be done. His boss Tom showed up and said that he would call HIS boss to see if they could do something for us. My wife and I were figuring on getting around a $50.00 discount on a new camera. When Tom got off the phone he asked us how much we paid for the camera (about$300.00 four years ago). He then said that they would replace our camera for FREE! I almost S@#t! right there on the dock.Bob then accompainied us to city hall to fill out a "No Strings Attatched" form and then went with us to the camera shop were we were able to pick out ANY new camera we wanted!! We then picked out a brand new camera for the same price we paid for the broken one. They even offered to give us free disposables if we didn't like the selection, and they would mail us a check for $300.00! The thing that REALLY impressed me was the Bob the cast member who dropped our camera stayed with us the whole time ( about 1/2 hr) even though we was now off duty. He didn't complain once nor did he even give us the impression that he was in a hurry on "His" own time. So many people complain about Disney all the time. I tell you this is why I go back every year. Beacause of people like Bob and Tom.
P.S. Does anyone know what address/department I could mail a letter thanking both of them.I especially would like them to get credit for outstanding customer service.
