Hi All, How busy are the parks the week and weekend before Thanksgiving. I just booked a trip and got a really great price and there were alot to choose from... should I assume that the parks aren't that busy during that week? Thanks. :sohappy: :ROFLOL:

When we first started going to the F&W Festival, we would go the week before Thanksgiving, and I found it to be a great time to go--the parks were not that crowded, and most of the Christmas decorations were up.

Due to work schedules, for the last two (maybe three) years, we have gradually moved our fall vacation back (this year we are going the first week of October) so I can't contribute up-to-date information, but I'm sure you'll have a great time--you will get to enjoy the decorations, and the F&W Fest, and the weather is usually dry.

We've already decided that next year we are returning to the third week of November for our F&W trip!

We went Thanksgiving Week in 2004 and are going again this year. Back in 2004, we felt that the only "Real" crowded day was Thanksgiving day at the MK. My sister in-laws family went this past year and they said it was busy all week, especially Monday at the AK.

We are optimistic for reasonable crowds from Sunday the 18th through Wednesday the 21st.

See you there

We've gone the week before Thanksgiving week (so for this year, it would be Nov. 10 - 17). I'm not sure what week you're talking about going. The park was a little busy for Veteren's Day, and the weekend before Thanksgiving was starting to get a little busy. However, Monday - Friday of that week is awesome!!!:sohappy: Hardly any lines. We caught the tail end of F&W. The weather was very nice. All Christmas decorations were up. They started doing the Christmas themed parades that week too.:xmas: A couple of the newer rides had a wait of about 45 min. But that was the longest. The rest (like ToT), had no wait at all. We were able to ride 5 times in a row in about 20 min.

I think if you go the week that has Thanksgiving in it, it gets busier.

That is when we are going this year, the 11-17th. Last year we went during the same week, and let me tell ya...it was not crowded at all. We walked on almost everything. I love going that time of year. It was actually pretty funny, the day before we were leaving to come back home, the parks got SOOO crowded, we couldnt get on anything. It was such a difference from the rest of the week we were there. It is a very nice time to go. Hope this helps!

Thanks so far for the input... always helpful!! I'm actually staying on the same days... 11/14 thru 11/20. My guess is it will be pretty busy on the 19th and 20th. It will still be a great time.
