November in WDW?

Hi!

We are planning a short WDW trip for out 4 year old and 3 year old in November. We are thinking of going the Monday before Thanksgiving. Is it really busy then? What is the weather like? Are a lot of rides and attractions closed at this time? Since our girls are so little we don't want the weather to be too harsh and the lines too long. We went in March this year and it was perfect, both weather and crowds. Any comments are greatly appreiciated! If need be, we can go in October some time. TIA!

I went last year the weekend before thanksgiving(21-24). I loved it! Lines are smaller and there are some of the Christmas Decor up. I"m not sure if right before thanksgiving it gets more crowded but I really enloyed going at that time of year. It can however get quite chilly at night(40's) and so be prepared with a heavier jacket or coat. Hope this helps you!

That time should not be to busy, but Thanksgiving and the weekend after can be. Katherine is right the nights can get chilly that time of year so bring some jackets. You can rent lockers at the parks and leave your jackets in them until you need them. About the rides being open or closed, check the rehab schedule to see if your favorites will be open or closed.

Our last 2 trips were right before Thanksgiving. We handpicked this time of year after a lot of research including weather, resort prices, and crowds. To each his own, but we did not want crowded parks and weren't concerned with working on our tans -- this time of year is perfect for us. We found mostly short lines and very little rain. I would stick with November.

Oh, but on the negative side (to be fair), I don't think the parks were open as late, and I think the fireworks show at MGM wasn't running. But this was several years ago. It might pay to check the fall schedule.

I've been 3 times in November and it was great (apart from thanksgiving weekend), very quiet , hardly any lines and the decorations were up! Marvellous!

We went last year from Sunday through Saturday. We are returning this year, but only staying until Friday. The crowds were not bad at all until Friday afternoon. Our kids (9, 6 and 4) loved the decorations and we enjoyed a memorable Thanksgiving dinner at Sci-Fi Theater. The weather was comfortable. We even enjoyed a water park. I highly recommend this time of year.
