November crowd level worries

My family and I are staying at Port Orleans Riverside Nov 6-12. On a whim I decided to call and find out what an upgrade to one of the deluxe resorts would cost. I was told by the cast member that there are no deluxe rooms or moderate rooms available during that week. Is it unusual for all the deluxe and moderate resorts to be sold out during November. Is there some big event I am unaware of. This is my first post so if this question has been asked or if I am in the wrong forum be kind.

I've been messing around with dates for that week and cannot find any deluxe availability either. It is when most schools in NJ are off for Teacher Convention and many NJians flock down to Disney b/c their children will not miss school. Even tho the resorts may not have availability, I'd be surpriused if the crowds were large. Having gone during Jersey Week b/c both my parents are teachers, I can testify that there were not wait times exceeding an hour. That was back in November of '99.
