November 2009

Hi

I normally visit in may from england but looking for a change in 2009 to visit in november to see the park for xmas.

Can anyone help on -

When the christmas parties normally begin

What the weather is like - Is there much rain ?

Will Blizzard beach still be open ??

:xmas: I believe and someone more knowledgeble will correct me if I am wrong, that only one of the waterparks are closed and one remains open. They had the first MVMCP already so most if not all the decorations should be up.

Just got back on Friday, so here we go....

As previous poster said, one water park is always open. This past week, it was Blizzard Beach.

As for MMVCP - it was held 3 times this past week. The MK is fully decorated for that.

As for other decorations, I don't know what next year will bring, but this year, the rest of the parks and the resorts won't be "celebrating" until the Friday after Thanksgiving. Last year, however, we were there the same week, and everything was Christmas - including the Osborne lights in DHS. We had a tree up in Pop Century's lobby. This year - nothing.
Epcot was starting to put theirs up on Thursday when we were there - but not everything.

MVMCP starts in November - the first party in 08 was on November 10th although I doubt all the Christmas Decorations would be up and working by then.

There is always at least one of the two water parks open during the year. In the winter months they both get cleaned out which means one is shut. This season BB is closed January 6th 09 - March 8th 09.
Typhoon Lagoon (according to Allearsnet) is closed Oct 09 - Mar 2010

November is my favorite time to go!!! I go the week after Thanksgiving when everything is in full swing for Christmas :xmas:. The weather last year was perfect warm but not to hot, as for rain it only drizzled 1/2 a day out of 8 days. I did go in 1999 and it was cold that year but a sweatshirt or jacket fixed that.
Yes 1 water park will be open but if the weather gets to cold they will shut down, I am not sure how cold is cold for that to happen.

I hope you have a great time!!!!
