I was there both nights, as well as the week prior.
Both nights sold out(40,000 I am told). If you were going to the park to ride rides, this was not the nights to do it. Wait times were rare during the week, meaning I walked on to most rides. But at NoJ, posted wait times were as high as 90 minutes. However, we got in line Sat. when Space said 60, and it was more like 30. By contrast, you could walk up to load at 11:30 in the morning during the week. Also, while on the rides and in the lines, to say that the kids were excited is an understatement. To the point that it was borderline annoying.
However, I wasn't there to ride the rides, as I had done that all week. I was there to worship. Fri. night featured David Crowder at 7:45, Chris Tomlin at 9:45 and Casting Crowns at 11:45. We stood in front of the stage for all three, and all three were great, as were the people gathered together there up front. There was a slight technical delay, and a small shower between bands. This made for a long night. We didn't get home until 2 am and we stayed on the monorail!
More of the same on the second night. Weather delay knocked off FF5. Long waits at the rides as the bands were not playing until 9:45. Rain was much harder this night. Third Day played then. It was great. I saw Mercyme last year, so we just listened to them from a distance. We had to check out the next morning (8 hr drive), so we couldn't do another 2 am night, so we left during mercyme.
Overall, a great experience if you are there to see the performances. Do not go to this if you are going for the rides. This is not like a Pand P party, MNSSHP, etc. I like it better here than at the studios, although there didn't seem to be nearly as many people at the studios last year. Last year, the headliners played two time slots, this year just one longer time slot. I liked it better this year in that regard. I wish they would start earlier, or do something so that the last band wasn't starting at 11:45. That is too late to finish.
I got a taste of what people have said about the behavior of the young people at this event. Last year, I didn't experience it at the studios. This year I saw a lot of spontaneous outbursts in the line, and a lot of not cleaning up after yourself. Just general "group mentality" type stuff, similar to what I read about cheerlader days.
