There is just one big parking garage/complex. It is pretty dark on all levels except the top one and near the edges with daylight.

I don't know if you would know, but what section and level is the picture on?

pretty freakin pathetic...the U place should just destroy their Islands of Adventure and start over...if that doesn't serve as proof that people will not buy a thrill park, I don't know what does...

It's true, attendance went really undeground for IoA, but don't be completely fooled, Universal Orlando's parking lots are extremely huge, with many levels and areas, which are not easily filled.

So you're saying you think thrill parks aren't successful? and that Universal should just destroy IoA? IoA is the only thing bringing the guests in!

they are not making any money on the park. It was not cheap to build, and the park is basically empty most days. The concept does not work in the Orlando area...regardless of what Universal thinks, people come to Orlando either for business or for disney, and they will generally make day trips from Disney to Universal or Sea World...more and more people are content to stay with disney b/c they come with their families or in groups, and if someone does not like thrill rides, they have little to do there...and how many families/groups are full of thrill ride junkies?

You know, IOA is really pathetic. They cannot design a park worth a crap. They put all of these untheme rides in different categorys which isnt bad but at The Magic Kingdom you have a lot of rides for everyone of any age but if you go to IOA, they have rollercoasters here for Older Children and Adults and then you have a small area for 3 year olds at Suess Landing....how stupid of IOA

Woah, woah woah

they are not making any money on the park
Are you including the park's initial debt (construction / engineering) or is this just income vs. expense on an annual basis, or do you have any facts at all?

It was not cheap to build
Well, that's because they decided to do it right the first time. They wanted to create a park that didn't look cheap, so people would visit it. Do you think people have a higher opinion of DCA or IOA, both of which are new parks, and both of which have the same approximate attraction count?

the park is basically empty most days
I've been to IOA 20 times or more since it opened, and I've never seen it empty. I've seen waits of over an hour for every attraction, most of which exceeding 2 hours.

people come to Orlando either for business or for disney
How one-sided of you. If people came to Orlando for "business or for disney", then why do we have one Sea World park, a massive Sea World resort, and the Universal resort complex, which currently consists of two major theme parks, three resorts, and a nighttime entertainment district.

If your statement was true, then International Drive wouldn't really exist, would it?

i hate to break it to you, but I've made trips to Orlando just for Universal (no Disney).

They put all of these untheme rides in different categorys
You've never been to IOA, and it shows. Unless, of course, you can tell me how Spiderman, Hulk, Dudley Doright, Popeye and Bluto, Jurassic Park River Adventure, Triceratops Encounter, Dueling Dragons, Sindbad, Poseidon's Fury, Caroseussel, and Cat In The Hat (among others) are generic and unthemed.

DigitalDisney, i totally agree......for one part, i love the Disney parks, and they are still my fave parks in the world.....now, that doesnt mean i have to hate the Universal parks. I havent touched Universal Studios in like 5 years (even tho i wanna go for MiB, and the supposed new rides that may go in) but ive gone to Islands of Adventure 3 times in the last year and a half....IoA is far from unthemed, and its probably one of the best parks in the world, right after Disney. Now that i hear that Universal may add 2 rides to US, and 1 to IoA, im praying that IoA gets the Jurassic Park jeep ride, or the long rumored B&M flying coaster......
