Well decided that with the Free Dining in September we would book a trip. This was supposed to be a skip year and a family reunion trip next year. Any way with the 180 day mark past us the only Ohana was late at night(we have a 3 year old) so this trip we decided to skip it and try Garden Grill for dinner. I think my little one will like to see the characters in there farm clothes and I hear the whole restaurant slowly rotates. So forum friends how do you like Garden Grill?

We tried Garden Grill for the first time back in November and really enjoyed it. It's probably best character interaction we've ever had. The food was tasty, the services was good, and they accomodated our request to be seated at a lower level table.

First, sorry you won't be going to Ohana but you WILL be going to WDW! I haven't been to Garden Grill for a few years but the food has always been good and your little one should love the character interaction. Yes, the restaurant rotates so that should help to hold your child's interest while waiting for the next character. I think its a good choice for those with children.

I am sorry about Ohana:( BUT the Garden Grill is AWESOME!!! It is a must do every trip! The kids love it and the food is FAB!! Bring your camera for sure! Pictures galore. You will not regret it! The kids dessert at the end is a red velvet lady bug and is my sons favorite dessert on property! The fish and steak are great. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Garden Grill is great, good food and fun characters! One of the best hidden Mickey's too.
I also hear the while not definite it is possible to do a walk up at Ohana sometimes if you get there early and are willing to wait. Perhaps plan to be at the Poly on afternoon and take chance? If it doesn't pan out just head into the MK and have QS. I believe in luck!

Great idea! Try everyday at least once. Something will come up especially around the 45 day mark!

Walk up is a great idea, too. You will get sat and won't wait more than an hour. Plenty to see at the Poly for a moving three year old!

We have an Ohanna reservation for Sunday, Sept 15th at 5:00pm for 3 people that we may be cancelling...if that works for your party size and trip date, i will pm you right before i do it so that you might be able to snag it.

I do like Garden Grill. I like it more than 'Ohana. :)

The food is good. When they (rarely) serve the fresh green beans, I will literally eat just a big plate of those. They're that good.

I like the restaurant. I like peeking in at the LWTL stuff. The characters are adorable and while I don't usually get into character interaction, I kind of do there. :)

Good choice, IMO! (Not that you need my approval, lol.)
