Well... I was able to sleep until 1 today, why? because I know longer have to get up at 6 to go to school!!! :sohappy: :sohappy:

I love being a senior too... I only went to 2 classes that I was supposed to!! (out of 6), so I cut 4 classes. I guess that's better than leaving half day as most of my classmates did  Well, I guess its time for me to start enjoying my limited vacation (school ends up cheating us out of more days as usual).

Wow, only 5 more months until I can say no more school forever! (with the exception of college.... ) I absolutely hate school, and I am counting the days until I am out of it. I know EVERYBODY says "you will wish you were back in school again once you get out in the real world", but I think I will like working much more than school. I can't stand my school's teachers & administration. They are biased, and unless you are an athlete, popular kid (prepy), straight-A student, or in some cases a girl, they want nothing to do with you. My principal sees us all as "stats". He actually said to us, "Do good on your tests because it makes the school look better"... what he should of said was "do good on the tests because it makes me look better, I get paid more money". I hate my school, my teachers, and my administration. The bull**** they pull is unbelievable and I can't wait to get away from it all.

The resource teacher had this party all day.... so me and my friends went down there and ate bagels and had cans of soda. Then we went up to wood shop and hung out there for a while. That was about the extent of my day.

you guys are lucky, I had to wake up early on Saturday (Like, 7:30) coz I had to go to the other half of a taekwondo test!

But I got out at 12 on Friday, and even if it wasn't the Friday b4 X-mas, I still woulda got out at 12 coz we do that every other week...haha, I'm special

yeah usually I get up at 5:45 (so I have time to fall back asleep w/o gettin in trouble :D) and I hafta be on the bus by 8:10, but I live straight across the street from my bus-stop so I don't usually go over there till like, 8:05, and I know my seat will be saved (very last row, on the non-drivers side) coz my friends know I like that seat best so no one sits in it, hehe. Theres only like, 10 people that I can think of in the back with me anywayz

oh and I'm a senior, only I'm in middle school still  :D

You only shower at night?!

If I didnt shower in the morning I would smell like......well you dont want to know. I dont think too many people would want to sit near me thats for sure! To top it all off I cant wake up in the morning unless i've had a shower, AND my hair would be all greasy and there would be 10ft snow....I mean dandruff drifts on my shoulders. Point is, I cant go w/o a shower in the morning! :D

well on Friday we didn't have regular classes, and they were only like, 37 minutes or something, so our "activity" type thing was only like, half an hour so we had ten minutes to do whatever. We were gettin bored so we went out to the hallway and hung out there, looked at the schools awards an stuff...and I was looking at something and this kid Marcus came up behind me and put his elbow on my shoulder (which a lot of people do at my school, which is odd) and then put his chin on his arm and tried smelling my hair (see what I mean when I said this guy is annoying?!). Well me, being so very good at taekwondo ( ) didn't know what it was so I like, spun around and put my arm up, sorta...and well, my hand hit itnose, and he said like, 10 minutes later in the next class it started bleeding...I felt reeeeally bad!

yeah well that was confusing, but w/e

Let me tell you, I think everyone while they are in school wishes that they didn’t have to go. At the time, it really makes sense. Why sit in class all day when you could have a job and be making money – really doing something with that time you spend doing what you don’t want to… Well, let me break down some of the unfavorable things about work for you. First, you’ll spend more time there. Most full time workers have an 8 hour day (not including lunch) some jobs actually have 10 and 12 hour shifts. You don’t get to see your friends a half dozen times a day either. In school those teachers (most of them anyway) actually care about you. They are there to shape your future. At work your boss probably doesn’t care about you at all. If it could advance their placement or paycheck, they’d probably sell you out without a second thought. Sure, in school you get stuck with homework but as an ‘adult’ in an office you are giving up a dollar every week to chip in on a birthday present for someone you don’t even know. You find yourself trying to come up witty things to say each time you have to sign a birthday card or a get well card or a congratulations card that someone else hasn’t already used on the particular card you have in your hand yet (TIP – try to be one of the first to get the card.) You end up with a drawer full of knickknacks or you gain 10 pounds from all the candy and useless items you buy for the fundraisers that your coworkers kids are always involved with so that they can be in band or go on a field trip or have new book or some such thing. Some weeks payroll will make a mistake on your check and you’ll go out of your mind sitting on hold getting bounced from office to office while you try to find the person that you need to talk to in order to get the problem fixed. The “wheel of death” will become your best friend. In case you are not familiar with this term, it’s a vending machine that sells over priced food of poor quality. Round and round it goes, who’s life it will change – nobody knows… Then you slowly get sucked into office gossip. Sure, you try to stay out at first but after the woman in the next office or cubical or desk has stopped by uninvited and told you the current goings on of the personal lives of others in the office and who’s sleeping with who and who is married and dating who a few times, you’ll find yourself sharing things you heard from the person on the other side of the building that you met in a meeting and run into at lunch on occasion. You have the fun of receiving memos only to get another memo a day or two later which totally contradicts the first one and then have to deal with your supervisor or manager that wants to know why you didn’t follow that first memo (because they haven’t gotten that new memo yet)…. I could go on and on but what’s the point? All I can say is enjoy this time. You might want to consider failing this year if it’s not too late so you can spend another year there. It really all does seem horrible for you right now – I know because I was there once too but one day it won’t. As you sit there at your desk with a head cold looking at the little clock on the screen of your computer waiting for the time you can go home you will think back to a day you had at school and wish nothing more than to be back there again. When you don’t get summers off or have to work on Christmas Eve like Pop Kid does, you’ll think “I wish I was still back in school”, too….

Wow, MrP... that was truly one of the most depressing, yet startlingly accurate diatribes I've ever witnessed. Sorry your life is so terrible.

I spend all day at school, and sometimes, it still sucks. Payroll still hasn't paid me for the first two weeks in October, most of the time the darn copy machines don't work, the internet is down more than it's up and last week, I couldn't even log on (probably a direct result of my complaining that someone went in and changed my login so it's wrong).... The kids are miserable to be around. They think they know everything, and they think that Ihave nothing better to do with my time than torture them. Don't they know that if my real goal was to make kids miserable I could do it somewhere else for a lot more money? The kids think that once they are out of school, it's the end of doing stuff you don't wanna do (yeah, like paying that insurance bill I was itching to send last week)...they think that the real world doesn't include senseless rules (Do you hear this, NowInc?), and they feel that they are blessed with an intellect the pea brains they send into the classroom to teach them couldn't even begin to fathom. On top of that, these poor, misguided youths think that in the real world, no one judges you on the basis of who you know, what you do, what you wear, where you are, where you've been, or what fraternity you belonged to. They seem to think that every time an adult like me opens my mouth, no one notices my grammar or vocabulary, that they aren't looking at how I'm dressed or who I'm associating with. These kids think that in the real world, the homely Helga has the same shot as the wealthy, preppy Carson. Think again. I accept all my students without bias, I work long hours, and I put all I have to offer into every day with them. I don't coddle them, spoon feed them, or make excuses for them. I expect them to come prepared for the work that day the same as if they were getting paid for it--because whether they know it or not, they are.

Yours wasn’t so bad, either. I’m thinking of going into the business of writing greeting card sayings and other little pic-me-upers. Want to partner up? ;)
