No More prepurchasing photopass CDs

I was going to purchase the photopass cd TODAY for our upcomming trip nov 9th and they have discontinued the offer unless you get an email code. Well, no CD for me!

They never claimed the prepurchase was for the general public. It was supposed to only be valid for people who got an email already, now they just definitely locked it down to those emails. It does seem like Photopass is under more pressure to increase revenue though as they are supposedly now charging to extend the life of your photos instead of extending it for free. Looks like someone realized it was making money and wanted to have it make more. : (

To be honest with you, I never thought it was worth it to buy the CD. There were so many character meet and greets on our last trip where a photopass person was not present. We ended up with way more pictures on our own camera. Even now as I'm going through my photopass pictures online I can't say I'm 100% satisfied. There are a few pictures of us in front of the castle where a little girl is standing directly next to us. Like it looks like she belongs in the photo with us. And I specifically asked at animal kingdom for a picture of us with baby simba. We are standing in front of the tree of life but the photographer zoomed in so close it just looks like us standing on crowded street. You can't even see the tree of life- it doesn't even really look like we are in Disney! Anyways, just my thoughts! I'd say stick with your own camera.
