No Expire Text / Plaza Pavillion / Astro Orbiter Refurb

I meant to incluse in my trip report that the Plaza was closed. One day, it was jam packed with people, the lines were huge, and napkins littered the ground and surrounding bushes all over. The next day everything was organized and orderly, and those signs advertised the refurbishment of the establishment.

Thanks for the pics. WOW! I assumed when they said Astro Orbitor was undergoing refurb it was just a paint job and whatnot. They've practically dismantled it!

From the looks of the refurb of Astro Orbiter, it would seem that the planets will be spinning when it reopens. Unless they are just painting them.

Being a Tomorrowland CM, I can confirm the planets will be spinning upon completion of the refurb.

yeah i noticed when I went to WDW last April that the planets weren't rotating. Anyone know if Plaza Pavillion will be open for Feb, 20-25th? I hope so I love to eat there.. we normally have lunch and dinner there every day we go to MK that we don't have reservations for a restaurant..

That's about all I can say about that. Not what I had expected to see from this rehab (though it will lead to a good thing!)



On another note, does anyone know if the restrooms at the Plaza pavillion are open? Or if it can still be used as a cut through to tomorrowland? Just curious.

I believe the restrooms were open. I did cut through to get to tomorrowland, that's how I got that last picture

WOW! Where is the Partners statue??? Is it covered by the white-looking structure in the center? Or did they remove it??
