No email notifications

Hi!

I haven't received any email notifications since friday night. This exact thing happened 2 weeks ago on the same days, and could have happened last weekend too, but I wasn't at home to check. If I remeber correctly, sometime on monday or tuesday they all arrive at once.

Is there a problem with the server or something? I don't think it's my email as I am receiving other mail as usual.

Hi Al,

I can confirm that my mail server is attempting to send you the mail, but your mail server at another.com appears to be dropping the connection, or refusing the connection. It might be a temporary issue with another.com, or they may have barred my server from mailing to your domain or something. Hopefully it will clear up over the next few days if it is a temporary issue.

Thanks for that, I have just emailled another.com about it. Hopefully it will be sorted soon

As predicted, I whole load of email notifications poured in this morning I didn't get a reply off another.com as to why this happens though.....oh well!

When they dont get delivered the first time, they enter into a retry queue, which is set for a few days later. So if the another.com mail server denies access for a while, a number of emails will get queued up for you in the retry bucket, and they will all eventually pile into you once another.com accept the connection again.
Glad you got them all in the end!
